The actual host is only somewhat connected to the project, usually just telling a local coordinator what needs to be done. This coordinator fails to communicate and lacks respect for volunteers, while also displaying inappropriate behavior. Apart from this, work hours are not respected at all, no matter what agreements are made, and off-days are usually shunned, so you're expected to work 24/7 and on-call. the host itself is fairly nice, close to nature, but also remote, so it's difficult to make plans without getting the coordinator involved.

Christoph, we are sorry your experience did not meet your expectations. You were part of the same group as Dara, where even three hours of daily work was often not completed. We had several conversations with you about how to improve the situation, but you consistently wanted to do less than the other volunteers, so it is not correct to say that work hours were not respected. We regret the mismatch and wish you the best in your future volunteering.
