Dettagli del programma

Last season we took one guest (or couple) at any one time. In the 2025 season, there may be overlapping guests and this will impact upon the available accomodation.

Accomodation will be based on one of the following;

The Bothy - a small self contained guest studio normally used as an AirBnB.

Our Glamping Tents - 5m bell tents, with use of facilities within our home, or if no other guests are using the Bothy, the facilities (cooking, chemical toliet, shower, table, seating, Wifi) within the Bothy shared by those in tents.

Hazel's room - A small double bedroom within our home, when not in use by family.

Shared use of our summer house (seating, table, music, Wifi), outdoor seating areas and fire bowl.

A range of bikes are avilable to borrow at guests own risk, although we do request bike helmets are used (provided by us).

Attività e turni

Monday to Friday we both work during the day, but we will agree with you the day before a range of tasks to suit your interests and abilities. You will choose when in the day you work, fitting this around the weather, you're own other interests and exploring rural Aberdeenshire.
Our weeds grow fast so this is a key activity we need your help with. Some of our garden beds need reclaimed from the wilder parts of our land!
weeding, pruning, grass cutting, and general tidying. There may also be maintainance tasks like painting outbuildings, moving earth mounds, managing or compost supply, helping us make BioChar, sifting paths and driveways.

Depending on the season of your visit, there may be preparing vegetable beds, sowing seeds, and or small scale harvesting of berries or other produce.

There may be times when your help would be appreciated with some housekeeping tasks, either in helping prepare accomodation for other worldpacker guests, paying AirBnB guests in the Bothy, or helping us around the home with some basic cleaning.

There may be opportunities for shared cooking as appropriate to our guests at any given time.
