Honestly the most amazing experience I had on my trip! They are such amazing people. We had lunches together every day. The work was fun and directions were clear. The animals are so sweet, I miss them! On my days off I got to explore Lisbon and Porto. You won't regret staying with Chiara and Ale :)

I loved every moment at my stay in o projecto the shelter! In addition to a great team, every singel person who works on this project full time is truly amazing! If you like working with animals and want to learn more about veganism, this is definitely a project for you!

Working at the shelter was a beautiful experience. Was even more beautiful to see the team's devotion to the animals. Everything done with so much love and care. Sharna, Chiara, Sandra, Dani, Maureen and Ale are so welcoming and funny people ! And also my friend Dilara, who volunteered with me <3 The work hours are respected, we have plenty of hours to rest and the lunch cooked by Chiara's mom were always delicious ! The neighborhood where we work it's a bit far from the city center but you can use uber or bus ! I hope to return someday to see everyone again !

I enjoyed my very educational stay at the shelter! Everyone in the team is very warm, welcoming and helpful which made me feel at home from the first second on. The hours were always respected and tasks totally manageable! Some things are more hard work but there's always space to communicate if you can't do something, which I really appreciated. If you are looking for a lively place to meet many new people this is not it. Usually there are 2-3 volunteers at the same time, the town is very quiet and the next city 15 mins by car. Will definitely miss everyone, human and non-human!💚

My stay at the shelter was absolutely amazing. Everyone at the shelter was welcoming and caring and all the animals are so precious and I enjoyed every single moment of work. Chiara and Ale are great hosts who provided and cared for us very well and always made the best the shelter food. Coimbra is a very nice city to visit in your free time. It was so inspiring to see how much dedication and love everyone puts into the project and I'm so thankful to have been a part of this. I already miss this place so much and hopefully visit again. I would absolutely recommend this experience.

My stay at Project the shelter was incredible! I spent a month there, and every moment was amazing. the shelter aspect was a big highlight for me, but what truly made a difference was caring for the animals and being with such special people. I had the pleasure of working with the main team: Chiara, Sandra, Sharna, and Daniela, who created a welcoming and unique environment. My routine was 3 hours in the morning and afternoon, but the tasks were so engaging, I often wanted to stay longer. I can't wait to return and relive this transformative experience!
