Felicia was very welcoming and made amazing meals for breakfast and lunch every day with usually enough leftovers for dinner! And she is doing an amazing job with the shelter, all the dogs are really sweet but they need more help so I'd really recommend volunteering! Also the room I stayed in was amazing and it was very easy to get into Cusco's centre on the bus. Wish I could have stayed longer and will miss this experience a lot :(

I visited Cusco for nine days, but I wanted to stay longer because Felicia and her husband are really kind, even though I'm just a beginner in Spanish (Duolingo level! :)) We mostly communicated using translation apps. I really appreciate that I had the chance to meet an amazing person like Felcia. She has truly devoted her life and love to dogs. Working at the shelter reminded me how amazing and sweet they are. I highly recommend this opportunity to anyone who loves animals! :) I personally liked the place to stay. You get a spacious room, a hot shower, and a kitchen with Coca tea (IMPORTANT)

Wow, Felicia is an amazing host and person. She was very considerate about dietary needs and desires. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was great, friendly and welcoming. I would hardly call the tasks work... more ti.e was spent getting dog love tham anything else. Truly a wonderful experience. I strongly recommend anyone visit and support her efforts. The fee is more than reasonable for what you get and it mostly goes to the animals anyhow! VOLUNTEER !!

Mi experiencia en el refugio fue magnífica. Felicia es una mujer maravillosa que da todo lo que tiene a sus el refugio, y trata a los voluntarios como verdaderos invitados y amigos. La comida es siempre deliciosa, el alojamiento y los servicios son por encima de la media. Las horas de trabajo son pocas y fáciles, el refugio está a poco tiempo a pie de la casa. Felicia siempre está dispuesta a ayudar en cualquier cosa y es una persona de corazón de oro que merece toda la ayuda, y hablar con ella y Erwin te hace aprender mucho sobre el Perú.

Uma das mais incríveis oportunidades que tive na vida ! Fique a vontade para me enviar perguntas em qualquer idioma, pois responde-las será meu compromisso com o abrigo. A carga horaria do trabalho é estritamente respeitada e as tarefas não são extremamente complexas e nem exigem esforço físico considerável. A anfitriã é maravilhosa e estará com você durante TODO o trabalho! As acomodações são melhores que muito hotel em que já fiquei. Refeições deliciosas e a anfitriã está sempre disposta adptar o cardápio se necessário. Só tenho a agradecer e torcer por meu retorno. Obrigado por tudo ❤️!

From the moment you arrive, Felicia welcomes you into her home with such kindness. She's deeply passionate about the project, and it shines through in every detail. Felicia prepares the most delicious, traditional home-cooked meals, all made to be healthy and catered to any dietary needs. The house itself is spacious, giving you plenty of room, and she even takes care of all the laundry! The tasks are forward, leaving the entire afternoon free to explore. The dogs are the best to be around—adorable, friendly, and eager for affection. I can't recommend this experience enough. Gracias :)

This has been our favorite volunteer program by far! Felicia, the host, is absolutely incredible—she has a heart of gold. Her passion and love for the dogs are unmatched. She goes above and beyond with her hospitality, cooking us the most delicious meals every day. There's always plenty of food (and trust me, I eat a lot!). The rooms big and comfy, we have all the amenities we need—our own kitchen, Laundry, bathroom, lounge, and hot water. The work is both fun and easy, and best of all, we get to spend each day with the cutest dogs! I highly recommend, we even extended ours by another week!

The best volunteering there is! Felicia is an amazing person who took care of me and she always made sure I'm ok and well. The volunteering it self is amazing! You get to be with dogs, play with them and take them on trips. The hours are convenient and you have lots of free time. The meals are amazing and you get to try local tasty food. 10/10 would recommend to spend some time here because it was an amazing experience

I had an amazing time volunteering at the shelter and staying at Felicia's. I really enjoyed getting to know all the dogs. They are all so lovely and just need so much love and care. Felicia is an amazing woman who cares deeply about the well-being of animals. It was truly an immersive experience into Peruvian culture. The food Felicia prepared each day was amazing and I got to practice speaking Spanish. Felicia was a great help with advice or taxis whenever I wanted to visit places. By the end I felt very comfortable and learned so much in such a short amount time. Highly recommend!!
