Volunteering at the hostel not only allowed me to become familiar with the Berlin lifestyle but it also helped me grow as an individual. Liubov, the hostel manager was flexible, kind and extremely caring- making me feel safe and well taken care of. the hostel Friedrichshain will forever hold a special place in my heart and I'd happily recommend the experience to anyone. Overall my experience in the hostel Friedrichshain was excellent. The tasks are fair, and Liubov is the best manager one could ask for. There's breakfast included everyday and dinner most of the days, so that's a big plus. The volunteer team is also excellent, and you end up doing a lot of friends during your stay there. I recommend 100%!!!

After my time volunteering at the hostel I feel like I have come away with so much. It has been such a valuable experience to me and I have met the most wonderful people. Luibov is a truly beautiful person who always works her hardest to ensure that everyone is comfortable in their environment and that everything runs as it should do. I could not imagine a better manager or host and I am so so happy that she picked me to join the team here in Berlin. I would happily return and I would gladly recommend this opportunity to anyone who wishes to have a similar experience :))

I had a lovely time volunteering at the hostel! ♥️ The team is very well-organized, professional, and at the same time very warm and easygoing. The tasks are quite relaxed — helping out at the bar or in the kitchen, which makes the work feel fun and engaging. The working hours are flexible and not overwhelming, and Liubov is always understanding when it comes to schedule changes or days off! The hostel has a lovely backyard to relax in, and it's located in a lively, authentic Berlin neighborhood — perfect for immersing up the city's raw and vibrant atmosphere!

100/10 three months here !! would recommend and also repeat :) became super close with other volunteers and also staff members, got a lot of time to explore and the tasks are super easy as long as you have common sense. Regards to the best manager ever Liuba !!! and to all my roomies 😚

If you're thinking about going to Berlin to stay at the hostel, I can just say—do it! The city is awesome, and the hostel is really well located, close to the train station, a market, and everything you might need. Lubov is a very open-minded person who will listen to you, genuinely care about you as a person, and give you space to share ideas for activities or anything that might make the environment better and more fun for both guests and the team. The team—whether volunteers or staff—you'll meet some truly amazing people. I could spend a whole day talking about them, but no more words, sorry ;) ❤
