I loved my time at Zoo the shelter and would highly recommend, especially if you are also an animal lover! Fanny, Willian, Josep, and the zoo keepers are all such lovely people who will really make sure you have a good experience. I really enjoyed working with the animals, and you have a good diversity every day in which ones you help with. The trip to the rainforest and Indigenous communities was also a huge highlight for me! For food, they were super accommodating of me being vegetarian! For housing, it was pretty nice and had all the basic needs.

Une expérience incroyable ! Fanny est une personne d'une extrême gentillesse. Les zookepers, Tanya, Ravière et Pedro dont où autant gentils, patients et nous apprennent beaucoup. Les filles de la cuisine nous servent de très bons repas et sont elles aussi super ! Le logement mis a disposition est super confortable et Fannyy et son mari nous fournisse tout ce dont nous avons besoin. J'espère revenir un jour!

I absolutely loved this volunteer experience! Working so closely with the animals was incredible, and I met so many kind and welcoming people. Fanny is such a wonderful person, always ready to help with anything you need. The other zookeepers were also great, even if you don't speak Spanish very well! I stayed for six weeks and would highly recommend it. After about three weeks you really get the hang of everything, and you're able to take on more responsibilities than in the beginning when you're still learning. I truly recommend this experience to everyone!

Estar en el refugio es, de cierta forma, mágico! Ver a los animales de cerca, interactuar con algunos de ellos y ser parte de este proyecto tan especial es una experiencia única. Lamentablemente, tuve que regresar a Brasil antes de lo previsto por cuestiones de salud. Pero estoy muy agradecida por el cariño con el que todo el equipo me trató. Gracias!

Sono state tre settimane piene, che rifarei altre mille volte. Il contatto con gli animali è sempre bello si sa, e questo lo consiglio per tutte le persone che vogliono avere un effetto positivo sulla comunità e sè stessi. Tutto questo ti cambia e ti migliora. Fanny e William sono due persone adorabili, ma anche tutti gli altri dipendenti, sempre con il sorriso pronto. È stata un immersione nella comunità e nella natura. Stra consigliato ❤️

El personal es muy amable, la comida del restaurante es muy rica y lo mas importante es el cuidado y preocupación que tienen por el bienestar de los animales del zoo, una muy buena experiencia 💛🐾

I had a great time at zoorefurgio the shelter. Even though I don't speak much Spanish, I could somehow communicate with every staff member and made funny memories. The tasks varied each day depending on how fast you were. Furthermore the region provides many activities for weekends.

Great place to be, incredibly memorable experience getting to take care of and interact with the animals, especially the coatis and the monkeys. Lunch and dinner are delicious and the volunteers house is nice and well appointed.
