This was a great volunteering experience for me. The tasks are easy to learn and the working hours are respected. The staff was helpful and friendly, and they even included me in their end of the year celebrations. You get to eat a breakfast buffet everyday (you can take leftovers if you want) and you have access to the guest kitchen for the rest of your meals. Weimar is a nice city, very nearby to other cool places you can visit like Erfurt, Jena or Naumburg. Also, if you want to practice German, I highly recommend it.

Weimar is a beautiful city and the hostel has a very international and welcoming atmosphere. However, the main issue of this experience was the workload. Being the only Worldpacker, the amount of work was too heavy for a volunteering position, especially due to the lack of staff to cover missing workers. Even though the Worldpackers description states a maximum of 25h per week, I was given a 30h contract. I contacted them for a receptionist role, but I was assigned kitchen work without being informed in advance. Greater clarity and transparency would significantly improve the experience.

It was first volunteering for me so I was little bit nervous at first time but staff was really welcoming and kind. Location is also awesome you can explore some other city It was very nice experience and valuable Time. I highly recommend volunteering here:))

I enjoyed my time spent here, the staff is really kind,friendly and caring.All the terms agreed were respected.The job was easy and chill.The breakfast buffet is huge and varied and you can make some sandwiches for lunch. The biliards and the table football is free for the volounteers. Weimar is a cute city with a huge park and an interesting museum about the republic and is near Lipsia and Effort.

Incredible experience; I wish I could have stayed longer The hostel has a great vibe, the work is fun and rewarding, the facilities are great too and the staff are amazing This was a cool opportunity to explore the hostel its surrounds while making new friends too Thank you to everybody at the hostel 100% recommend

Principalmente quería dar las gracias a TODO el personal del hostel por haberme hecho sentir desde el primer momento como en casa a pesar de estar a tantos kilómetros de ella. Muchas gracias por todo, hicisteis de esta experiencia una experiencia que nunca olvidaré. Las tareas a realizar son sobre todo en la zona del comedor. Son tareas sencillas y cualquier duda que tengas siempre están dispuestos a ayudar. Los horarios son aproximadamente unas 5 horas al día, el tiempo pasa rápido Gracias por todo :)!!!!!!

My experience at the hostel was amazing! From the first day, I was warmly welcomed and felt truly at home. The team is wonderful, kind, and collaborative, and the hostel feels like a family. Nhung is calm, respectful, and always ready to help, making the environment pleasant and comfortable. I mainly worked in the kitchen and sometimes as night watch, with everything well organized. The hostel has an excellent breakfast and great facilities. The moments with the team, especially during breakfast, sharing stories and languages, were unforgettable. I highly recommend this hostel!

Staying at AO Weimar is a super experience. Lots of people are coming here so you should never be less than 3 people from my experience which is a good point if you don't want to be alone. About the work there, overall most of time you'll have to help manage the breakfast, it's a little music you'll be used to, being 3 for it is perfect when it's busy. You are constantly active during the shift so you can't really get bored but you are happy when it ends. Overall timings are well respected. Staff members are maybe the best strenght of the hostel. The hostel itself is not awesome to hanging in.

I had wonderful days in Weimar. The city is beautiful, and with the D-Ticket you can travel anywhere, which is truly remarkable. I even went to Pragua in one weekend, so it's very okay. The work is calm, fair, and the people are very kind. One of the main reasons why my time was amazing are my coworkers and the other world packers. The work atmosphere is cool and you meet people from all over around the world. I am still learning German but I want to mention too this is an amazing space to learn, the native German speakers are really patient with you and always willing to help. Finally, Weimar is a city full of history and it has an special vibe. Charming city and the neighbors cities too.
