L'esperienza

Located on the Isle of Seil, we run about 300 sheep and 140 cattle on our farm, and are looking for a reliable, keen, independent person to help with a variety of jobs.
Jobs are dependent on the time of year. In the winter months we need help feeding the cows and sheep, mucking out sheds, bringing in hay and restocking firewood. In spring we are lambing and calving so need help ensuring this goes well.

Dettagli del programma

The farm is run by my husband Seumas and our son Ross, and we have been working with volunteers since 2017. The tasks each day vary, either working with Seumas or by yourself sometimes, feeding the animals, cleaning out sheds, fixing fences, bringing in fire wood, herding sheep and cows, and general farm activities.

Attività e turni

Each day is different, but you will be given the plan the day before. Days can start at 7am, we always stop for lunch and dinner at 6pm

Regole

We’d love for you to be keen, independent and raring to go. Farm work can be very demanding so lots of energy is required.
