Volunteering with Karim was such a unique experience! The accommodation is very basic and the work can be difficult (though short) in the summer heat, but Karim is so kind and welcoming and the other volunteers felt like a little family. Making bricks was a cool experience and felt like I was making an impact. Trips to the pool, cafe, and desert (plus delicious food) only added to it! Definitely recommend this opportunity!

This last week I've spent it at the farm place, in Tagounite, and it has been a wonderful experience!!! Absolutely everyone was super super sweet, I learnt to cook Moroccan dishes that were delicious, had the opportunity to spend time in the desert, helped in the construction of his project… Maybe (and very probably) I'll go back to visit everyone inshallah ☺️ Wish you the best!! I really enjoyed my time with Karime and Younes. If you're looking for an interesting and enrichment stay with wonderful locals in the desert, this is the right place. Because of the summer heat we spend most of the time inside and just did a bit work in the morning. So i decided to learn from Karime how to cook traditional moroccan dishes and take time to read or connect with the other volunteers. This is a real place - without luxury and touristic things but with a lot of heart and good vibes - so exactly what I was searching for! I hope I'll come back one day! Thank you ✌️

Aún sigo procesando esta experiencia. Karim tiene un corazón de oro ! Es un excelente anfitrión y cada una de las compañeras que tuve en este voluntariado fueron una maravilla. Tagounite es maravilloso, su gente, sus paisajes, todo! Ojalá puedan ir muchos voluntarios/as para poder terminar pronto el proyecto ! Por mi parte espero poder volver y disfrutar de los atardeceres, el aire y la calma que viví!

I spent a week with Karim in his home and it was amazing. Throughout my time there were 8 volunteers and we were treated like family. Karim helped me to see desert life, taking us to different spots for sunset every night, feeding us delicious Moroccan food and overall having a laugh. The work was manageable and done early in the morning to avoid the heat. It also varied each day depending on the energy and environment for the volunteers. We also get weekends off where Karim organised for a group of us to go and sleep in the sand dunes. I highly recommend Karims House!!

I stayed with Karim and Youness for 2 weeks and I loved every second of it! They are amazingly welcoming and kind people who will lovingly show you the beauty of Tagounite and their culture. The work is not that hard and everything is very relaxed. The flood destroyed a lot last year so it is really nice to be able to help just a little bit with rebuilding their farm, its for a very good cause! I would recommend everyone to volunteer with Karim and Youness :)

My first volunteering experience was incredible, thanks to my amazing hosts! They were incredibly welcoming, made me feel safe, and treated me like family. The work hours were manageable, and they even took us to explore the stunning dunes. The food was delicious, and the overall experience was unforgettable. This experience was amazing!! As soon as you get to Tagounite you become the farm family. From the beginning he was very welcoming, accommodating, and super kind. The work is very simple and there is never really a set schedule here so it was very relaxed. I had so much fun meeting other volunteers and a lot of the farm friends. He also took us on adventures to the small desert and we regularly went somewhere to watch the sunset. Tagounite itself is a really small area with not much other than the beautiful landscape! I had a great time and would love to come back some day!

I felt respected and welcomed at Karim house. He was a good host, always asking us if we are ok and if we need something. The food was really delicious. The accommodation is really very basic, like sleeping on the floor outside on the roof, sometimes no water or electricity, wifi is most of the time not working or working really slow. We weren't working that much, I wish we would work more and learned new things. The vibes of the place are smoking and chill, if you are into this, then you will have a great time. If you are not into this, then you will maybe not enjoy it that much.
