This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I enjoyed my time at the hostel. The work was as described, and the location of the hostel is perfect. The common areas are great for meeting other travellers as well. However, the staff dorm is very small with no air conditioning, and there is not two free meals as it says on the listing. There is free dinner, but every guest recieves it, and it is cooked by the volunteers as a work shift. At times it felt like the volunteers were treated more like employees. The other volunteers were amazing, which made the experience much better though

La experiencia fue muy linda. Conocí gente muy copada, de todas partes del mundo, creo que eso fue lo más enriquecedor. Pude practicar bastante el inglés. El hostel está muy bien ubicado lo cual ayuda en el día a día. Las tareas son muy básicas (algunas mejores que otras pero se rota entre todos). Hay bastante tiempo libre y flexibilidad para cambiar turno con otro/as voluntarios/as. Esta bueno tener la cena incluida (cocinada por los voluntarios/as). El desayuno no lo teníamos. Fueron 4 semanas muy lindas.

The experience at blackswan was truly great and what made it special was the volunteering and reception team who was full of amazing human beings. The biggest downside for me was the fact that we only got free dinner (which is free for the whole hostel) . Considering the place highly relies on volunteers, I feel like we could have gotten a bit more in return. But overall it is really worth it and you'll love this beautiful city Barcelona.

Lo que más me gustó de esta experiencia fue la convivencia con los voluntarios y voluntarias, formamos una familia y eso es lo que más valoraré. También el poder conocer gente de otros países es una experiencia única ya que tú eres la persona que los hace sentir bienvenidos. Por otro lado, Aleksandra es muy flexible y comprensiva y las/los recepcionistas del hostal son los mejores, se convirtieron en mis amigos y me divertí mucho con ellos! También July y IIara, son un amor y hacen el ambiente del staff aún mejor!! Recomiendo este voluntariado totalmente :D

La mejor experiencia que tuve hasta ahora, el staff me recibió super super bien desde el momento 1, super buena onda todos, muy linda energia. El liderazgo de la manager Aleksandra es lo que mas destaca y mas me sorprendio, siempre atenta y con un super nivel de responsabilidad, de las mejores líderes que ya conoci. Hice un monton de amigos nuevos y me ayudo un monton a crecer en el area social y de autoconocimiento. Muchas gracias Ola y team el hostel por esta experiencia MARAVILLOSA!

Voluntariar no hostel foi um experiência incrível, a vibe do hostel é muito boa, tínhamos free dinner todos os dias e muitas festas pela cidade. Cuidado com alguns recepcionistas, as vezes eles te pedem coisas além do seu trabalho. Alguns shifts são muito longos mas tudo bem. A gerente Aleksandra é perfeita, pode contar com ela pra qualquer coisa. No geral super recomendo.

El hostel es el lugar ideal si buscas divertirte, conocer la ciudad y hacer muchísimos, pero muchísimos amigos! La energía es increíble, los voluntarios me hicieron sentir en casa desde el día 1 y las tareas como voluntario son bastante sencillas, disfrute haciendo cada uno de los turnos. Hice una pequeña familia con todo el staff del hostel y me llevo muchísimos recuerdos positivos de esta experiencia ❤️Sin duda, haber elegido este hostel para hacer mi primer voluntariado fue la mejor decisión que pude haber tomado. Me divertí como nunca y me enamoré de Barcelona 🤩
