Hello Patricia ! Gracias para todo. Patricia is the sweetest person, I had a lovely time staying here. If what you're looking for is a beautiful environment and party/relaxing, this is a good place. The work is more clearing up paths, cleaning up the place than environmental farm work, but the place and people are super fun! :)

Experiencia nefasta,ahórratelo.La anfitriona deja mucho que desear,cero respeto y empatía hacia nosotras.Terminar de patrullar la playa durante 4h de madrugada y encontrarte en una habitación con el techo abierto,las mosquiteras rotas,el baño sucio,el agua salada y los cangrejos,mosquitos y murciélagos rondándote toda la noche por la cama.Destacar la mala actuación y las malas palabras de la anfitriona al comentarle nuestra inconformidad con las instalaciones,(comentarios como“iros a un hotel 5 estrellas”,“hay gente más fuerte y gente menos fuerte”)podéis preguntarnos más a fondo por privado.

We had a great time at Patricia's place! The experience comes with some challenges: be prepared for basic accommodation/bathroom/limited internet access, read the descriptions! Patrica only speaks Spanish, but there are always ways to understand each other. Also, the place is only accessible by boat (20$/ about 30min). The place is located in beautiful, remote nature. A good place to get out of your comfort zone. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and being surrounded by nature. Patricia's brother showed us so many animals and helped to make the experience very special!

El día que llegue hablamos con Patricia sobre el trabajo, su propuesta no fue la acordada en la app. Por esta razón, me fui antes de lo establecido. El lugar es pura naturaleza, te da mucha paz y tiempo para conectar con uno mismo. Yo pensaba que en mi tiempo libre iba a poder conocer los alrededores pero estas muy muy alejado de todo, no hay conexión al wifi (pagas extra para usarlo y a veces no funciona), el agua de los baño es salada y en las habitaciones no hay ventilador (hace mucho mucho calor). Pase unos días muy lindos con los voluntarios, conocí personas de todos lados del mundo :)

Hola Trinidad, lastima que la descripcion no te parezco igual a lo que esperemos. Vamos a intentar mejorar eso.
Verdad que es un lugar aislado con modo de vida muy simple y ecologico. Entendemos totalmente que eso no es para todos.
Le deseamos seguir su viaje lo mejor que se puede.

She really doesn't explain how it's like for real for real. It's a lot of bugs you get bites a lot she really doesn't interact with the people she's hosting but she's nice. She always have people coming over to where we stay at party can leave whenever they wanna leave. no water on the salt water is not for everybody

I loved my stay here, truly refreshing and relaxing. The work was short and you have most of the day off, and on the weekends there are usually a small party where they taught me local dance moves. You will most likely not have service because some of the SIM cards don't work, so before you go I would bring cards, books, games and download lots of songs and podcasts. It's a different experience for everyone and if you are looking for private, seclusion right on the beach this is the place for you. The only way off the island is by boat and it takes about 20 minutes to get there.

Patri is a great host. Together with her family they made me feel very welcome. I learned a lot about the local culture and lifestyle. I recommend the reserve if what you are looking for is tranquility and getting away from everything. I recommend bringing protection for mosquitoes and other insects. I also recommend bringing allergy medicine. I didn't know I was allergic to mosquito bites. Don't forget sunscreen. Beside this, the place and the experience were incredible.

Solo me queda agradecer a Patricia por el recibimiento tan bonito que me brindó durante los dos meses que estuve en the reserve, una experiencia inolvidable, paisajes hermosos y sobretodo la conexión que tuve con los habitantes estuvo increíble. Recomiendo altamente este sitio, comidas deliciosas, tours con precio bajo, intercambio de ideas, pláticas inolvidables, además que las horas de trabajo no son tantas.....yo regreso a este lugar mágico 💕✨ muchas gracias Patri por todo lo aprendido y vivido 🥰

The time I had at the reserve was extraordinary. The beautiful place is very remote so it's best to buy a SIM card from Kolby beforehand. Also be sure to pack mosquito spray. As a vegan had many options to eat and I felt very welcomed by Patricia and the local community. So, if you want to reconnect with nature for a few weeks, enjoy working with animals and doing something for the environment, this is the place for you. Thanks Patri for the great time!
