This experience was so unique. The hosts were super friendly, engaging and attentive which meant there was never a dull moment. I really appreciated the flexibility around dates and quick turn around of providing information. The location is so remote allowing you to connect with nature, wildlife and locals creating an authentic experience making me feel like I know more about Costa Rica than I would have doing anything else and I'm so glad I decided to do the programme.

Quick for the work related part: It wasn't easy, the night patrols over the beach were harder than expected and there's tons of mosquitos, of course;) If you're relatively fit and don't mind staying up pretty late for those shifts, it'll be absolutely manageable. Even though I had to leave earlier than planned (my birthday was coming up and I prefered calling my family and being closer to civilisation for that day;) ) I absolutely loved staying with Patricia! The food she made three times a day was amazing, the room was pretty spacious and she was also just a kind soul!

Patricia was a wonderful host, the meals were delicious. I spent a lot of my time reading and playing cards, Patricia's family was very nice and welcoming, her brother took me fishing a couple of times. The turtle project is with another camp, most of which speak English which was nice to also connect with people there. A truly rewarding experience to do turtle conservation. Overall a very relaxing stay and I would absolutely go back!

Mi experiencia en paraíso la reserva fue genial !! Patricia y su familia son muy amables y simpáticos ! Lo disfruto muchísimo! Además de participar al proyecto sobre las tortugas (que consiste en patrullas de 4h cada noche o sea 10km en la arena para encontrar las tortugas), aprendí mucho sobre la fauna y flora local ! El lugar es maravilloso y se puede ver muchos animales, pájaros, monos, peces, caimanes, mariposas, tortugas, osos perezosos y mucho más ! Con el calor y la humedad que hace, ir a la playa cuando quieras porque está a un minuto de casa es súper !! Recomiendo !!

Patricia is an amazing women through and through. Prior to arrival she was very helpful and prompt with communication. As soon as I arrived I felt loved and welcomed, she was very patient with my inability to speak Spanish and was happy to help teach me. The experience comes with its challenges but is all around so so worth it. Despite not speaking the same language we always found something to laugh about. The 9 days I spent there will always be held so close to my heart. Thank you Patricia, I hope to visit again some day!!

The farm is right between the river the reserve and the ocean. In the morning you can for example see monkeys in the trees if you go 50 meters from the place you stay. It's a beautiful place to connect with nature, to get detox of your phone (cause you'll only have internet at the beach) and to discover. Patricia is a very nice host and her food also is veery delicious & alway healthy. I loved the time and all the green around there and it's a good opportunity to calm down and relax. Just be aware that the main part of the property is also a party place which is directly in front of your room.

Está experiencia fue super gratificate para mí. Patri es una persona demasiado linda, te va a hacer sentir en familia. Este fue mi primer viaje con Worldpackers y no va a ser el último. Me encantó. Desde ya extraño a Patri, Sol, Maggie, Noelle, Max, Don Ronald, Don Félix, Chispita, Doggy, Maggie, Kitty... quedará pendiente volverlos a ver. Por otro lado, aprendí bastante, a cocinar, recoger cocos, hacer pulseras, pintar..., practique mi inglés, conocí gente linda; tuve tiempo para salir de la realidad y estar sola. Esta aventura cambio un antes y un después en mí. En fin, gracias Patri ❤️

Los días con Mariana fueron super lindos una chica con mucha energía me hacen pensar en las cosas que puedo hacer en el futuro , con mucho compromiso en las tareas se adapta muy bien a las condiciones básicas
