It was an excellent place where I could share with very kind and attentive people. Work schedules were always respected, and they made an effort to ensure you felt good about the tasks performed. Additionally, the place is beautiful and very natural. I definitely recommend this place.

Me senti em casa desde o primeiro momento. Quando cheguei ao centro, todos já sabiam meu nome e me deram as boas-vindas. Foi uma experiência maravilhosa. Pachong e todos do centro são muito solícitos, uns amores. Fiquei a maior parte do tempo ajudando no café, onde aprendi a fazer alguns cafés também. Quanto às comidas, fiquei com receio porque não sou vegetariano nem vegano, mas fui surpreendido positivamente, pois eram boas e porções generosas. Também tive a oportunidade de fazer aula de meditação. De modo geral, foi super válida. Pachong, obrigado por me receber! 🧘😊

The Center has been an extraordinary experience in every way. I've cherished and enjoyed each day spent here. This place offers so much to everybody, providing an atmosphere of learning, personal growth, and community. I feel immense gratitude and love for MKMC. A special thank you to Pachog for giving me the opportunity to get involved and deepen my understanding of Buddhism while sharing unforgettable moments with fellow volunteers and local residents in this beautiful, nature-filled sanctuary.

I have had a beautiful expierience at the Center. I've met some truly amazing people, witch i've shared some of the most meaningful conversation with! I have attained interesting teachings about buddhism and daily meditations. Working in the cafe and in the grounds was a lot of fun, and the working hours was accually an hour less a day than what i was expecting. You have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful nature around, or to take a trip into pocklington or York. I can only recommend the Center!

My two weeks at the the Center in Kilnwick Percy Hall went far beyond my expectations. Everyone is very kind and makes us feel welcome. The work is exactly as expected, everyone responsible for the work areas gives us clear instructions and helps us learn what is necessary. I was able to train and improve my English, I met people from several other countries and I had excellent conversations with residents and other volunteers that filled me with happiness.

Estar en este lugar de voluntaria ha sido una experiencia maravillosa y enriquecedora para mi persona, sin duda 100% recomiendo este lugar. Las personas son muy amables, el lugar es increíble, se transmite mucha paz y las comidas son deliciosas. Todo está muy bien organizado, tus horas son respetadas, existe mucha comunicación y el trabajo es sencillo, tienes toda la tarde libre y puedes andar en bicicleta, salir a caminar, ir al pueblo caminando o incluso ir a un gimnasio a 15 minutos caminando del centro. Estoy infinitamente agradecida que me han hecho sentir en un hogar.

I felt I found a haven in the midst of a huge storm, the amount of love and compromise that everyone puts into the center is incredible and allows you to grow in your own way and get closer to Buddhism in a unique form. The main building, the grounds, the cafe, the surrounding area and the people you can learn a lot everywhere if you want so.

I really had an incredible time since Monica welcomed me, a great person with her, I learned a lot since I arrived, nice people to live with, phachog, thank you very much for everything, George, Dave, Naz, Yeit, Isabel, Mark and of course I'm missing many but without a doubt the best team, the best people, I would definitely return to you, you are a great family. Special greeting to Grandmaster Genla. All cooks are amazing, so never stop being that amazing.

Vladimir is a warm and friendly person who was lovely to have in Madhyamaka for 5 weeks. He always completed all his tasks but also went above and beyond in his duties, always with a pleasant smile. It would be a pleasure to have Vladimir again as part of our team in the future!

A fantastic place with incredible people, it was mine 5 the Center.. I love helping at Grounds and at the cafe, you meet cool people every day. On your days off, you can visit nearby cityes. I recommend it to everyone. I'll be back in the next few years. 🙏🏻

Anderson stayed with us for 6 weeks working in the grounds, in the Cafe and occasionaly in the kitchen as well. Anderson is a very good person with a very pleasant personality who always did everything he was asked. Thank you Anderson!

I had an incredible experience at the the Center! The place is amazing, the amenities for volunteers are great and I ate really well here. I had the opportunity to live and learn more about the local culture and learn/train my English during this experience. I was also able to connect more with myself and participate in meditations, this was very important for me! The work is relaxed and there is a very good turnover so everyone learns a little bit of everything! Thank you the Center team who welcomed us so well, I recommend this experience to everyone!

It was simply wonderful to have Evelyn volunteering with us. She is fun to be around, attentive, very independent and always willing to help out. She worked in the Cafe, in the grounds, in the kitchen.. and her cleaning is amazing. Thanks a lot for all the hard work you've done Evelyn!
