I had a great time during my stay! The work is splited in different 4h shifts and you can always arreange it with the other volunteers so you can easily go discover the island. Regarding to Langkawi it got sometimes too chill for me but actually staying in the hostel gives you the opportunity to meet international people to talk with. Also I would say that being lucky to coincide with other nice volunteers (which I did) makes a lot. If I had to say a con it would be that as the hostel work is made mostly by volunteers that come and go it can be messy the first days of volinteering.

We stayed at the hostel for about one week. In this week we worked six days, as you get one day off. It's four hours of work a day, though guests may ask you questions when you're not working. The communication was not great. The tasks and the system were only explained to us by the other volunteers. We did have a great time with those other volunteers and made new friends! When you make a mistake there is not really a good learning environment. We do want to say thank you Amar for all the help and patience :)

The hostel is very cozy. The working hours of 4 hours are respected. The system may seem a bit complicated at first, but it is easy if you are familiar with it. Just try not to make mistakes :) Breakfast consists of toast and jam. I was there for 3 weeks but I think 2 weeks are enough. The island is not really big and therefore it can be a bit boring after a while. Nevertheless, I had a great time with the other volunteers.

For a first volunteer experience, it was really great ! i had a really good time, a lot of time to explore and chill and spend time with the guests and other volunteers. The tasks are not complicated and only 4h per day. Good experience, thank you for having me :)

The hostel Dormitoro is a modern and cozy hostel in the heart of the hostel in Langkawi. Langkawi itself is a very chill island. You'll work one shift in a day. One shift is about 4 hrs. The workload is very reasonable and fair. In the beginning there was poor communication about the work tasks of the volunteers. Which lead to misinterpreting instructions, resulting in work that doesn't meet expectations. But that changed after a while and the volunteers were better trained.Overall I would recommend to stay there and experience Langkawi.

Recontra recomendado :)

I had an amazing time at the hostel. The hostel is located very close to the beach, so after your working hours you can spend a lot of time there. Also, I really liked the different shifts, so not every day is the same. Sometimes you work in the morning and you do cleaning and in the afternoon/evening, you do reception work. I loved how it was every day different. I also really liked that there were many international travelers and volunteers I could hang out with. We went for dinner or rented a scooter and explored the island. And across the street, there are food trucks for dinner.

My first volunteering experience exceeded all my expectations! ✨the place isn't just a hostel, it's a premium cozy place, the work was exactly as agreed upon, only 4 hours a day leaving me with a lot of free time to explore the beautiful langkawi island. The hosts, Abu and sayed were extremely humble and kind. Abu past as a backpacker makes him a must talked to person😊 I cherished my time there, cooking conversing and meeting people from various nationalities i also had the extra joy of helping with social media which was a blast😅. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone😊😊
