Me and my sister had a wonderful volunteering experience in the project. The working hours were exactly as agreed and sometimes even less. Kayla was always supportive and tried to help us with everything we needed. The students we met were incredibly sweet. some of them even took us out, showed us around, and did everything they could to make us feel at home. We made lovely friends during our stay and the apartment was also very comfortable. Thank you so much for everything. Highly recommended!

Truly an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived both the hosts and the other volunteers did everything they could to make me feel at home. Cheongju is definitely a smaller city but it has all the amenities that you would need, and the bus system makes it easy to get around. The apartment is comfortable enough and is in a great area to move around the city. Kayla and Brian were amazing and were super welcoming. I hope to return one day and would recommend the project to anybody thinking of applying!

Esse foi com certeza um dos MELHORES voluntariados que fizemos! Kayla e Brian foram excelentes anfitriões (que realmente se importam se você está gostando da experiência e se esforçam pra você aproveitar ao máximo) e só temos a agradecer todo o carinho e suporte que recebemos desde antes mesmo de chegar lá. O trabalho é super tranquilo e podemos fazer muitos amigos coreanos e ter experiências juntos. A acomodação é muito boa, recebemos bastante comida e adoramos a cidade de Cheongju (2 horas de Seoul). Você pode ir em cafés e restaurantes na cidade e também conhecer outras cidades próximas

I would highly recommend this couple to anyone who consider to host them in the future. They're very kind and care for others, and they both were easy to get along with other volunteers as well. When it comes to work, they tried their best while they were here.
Everyone here liked to chat with them.
I will definitely miss them and welcome them, if I could have a chane to host them again!!

Very much a home away from home. Such welcoming hosts that really make you feel comfortable and the work is just like any other cafe in the best way possible. All of their guests are super nice too. Accom is nice and in a great location. Definetely want to come back at some point... thanks guys! <3

I had an amazing experience, Kayla and Brian were very fun and caring, they always helped with anything: if I needed restaurant recommendations, travel plans, etc. It was a great opportunity to meet local and international people; I learned a lot about different cultures and mindsets from the other volunteers' and the locals' stories! The apartment was also very convenient, we had everything we needed, but shops and restaurants were also just a few steps away!

I loved my time at the project ! I even wished to have more hours of classes haha, speaking with the students was so fun. The city is really nice to be immersed in Korean culture, it was so funny to see no others foreigner except the teachers haha + it's a very good place to travel around Korea cause it's in the middle of the country. Kayla and Brian are so sweet, such a kind and lovely couple. I will never forget that experience, I hope I'll be able to come back someday. Thank you for everything 💚

My experience in the project was amazing. It was my first time volunteering and the project was perfect place for it. Kayla and Brian are both the nicest people and their daughters are so sweet. The accommodation is very nice and cozy and very close to the project, which was very good. The actual classes were really fun. There is a lot of students, so it's not like you are talking to the same people every day. And there are just few classes a day and weekends are free so it's not hard at all. I definitely want to go back in the project one day.

I felt very welcomed in the project. Kayla created a great environment for international volunteers to both engage with local people and share their story while also listening them attentively and help them with their speaking skills. Thanks to these, great friendships and warm conversations are formed and every day in the project is another day to be very excited about who you going to be engage with. Cheongju is a great city with loads of nice food spots, chill parks and shopping districts. Also it is just 1.5 hours away from Seoul which can help you to travel to other big cities when you are off

I felt like at home from the very beginning. the project is a perfect place for those who fancy meeting people from around the world while helping locals improve their English speaking skills. It's a great opportunity to see South Korea from a perspective of a smaller city, truly learn about Korean culture, get to know lovely people and discover delightful places. I genuinely recommend joining the project team, and I hope to go back there soon! ❤️😊

Absolutely love Kayla and her fam and the set up she's created. the project has some of the best people I've ever met, and I couldn't be more grateful for this experience - I tried a lot around korea cause the weekends we're off and everything is close by
