I had the pleasure of spending the holidays with Jane and her family, all the volunteers present were included in their traditions. Life at the farm was a bit of an adjustment, Jane is keen on her ways of doing things and it was interesting yet challenging to adjust to the farm lifestyle. Great memories were made and being surrounded by nature and animals was a one-in-a-time life experience. Thank you, Jane, for granting me the opportunity to immerse in your life on the farm, this opportunity fulfilled an aspiration of mine. If you get to meet sweet Sadie give her all the love on my behalf.

I had a wonderful time at the Farm! Thanks to Jane I had some very amazing weeks, I was able to learn a lot about her animals, plants and her farm in general, which was all very interesting and she showed me some useful tricks for life. I was also able to experience some unique experiences like Ice fishing with her family and friends, skiing at Sun Peaks, Christmas or New year. During my whole stay I felt super welcomed and comfortable, it was always fun and I had an incredible time! I will never forget my stay here and it was very hard to say goodbye to everyone! Thank you Jane!

This program is for people that are strong and willing to do hard work. Be aware that this location is very remote and you won't see much of Canada. The farm and animals are cute and Jane can be nice personally. But when it comes to work, she changes. It was disappointing that Jane didn't talk about the working hours/days off. In 4 weeks, I haven't had a single day off. The private room that was promised was actually a room I had to share with the other volunteer. Jane has many rules and when you don't do things her way she gets annoyed and I always felt like I was doing something wrong.

Malena was a great girl but not well prepared for physical work. ( not everyone is) and Malena chose not to take days off as she felt she had to help the other traveler. She could have taken off any days she wished as I am very flexible about this. I do hope the rest of her travels suited her better and that she enjoyed them.

The experience at Jane's farm was amazing! From the minute I arrived I felt very welcomed and got to know the farm, animals, surroundings and friends & family quickly. If you strive to explore beautiful Canadian nature and activities like horse riding, skiing at a nearby resort, ice fishing etc, this is the place to go. I'm so thankful for everything Jane offered me, especially to stay even longer than previously arranged!! I will miss this place and not to forget the three cutest dogs that will follow you everywhere you go.

I had a great experience! Jane is super nice and taught me so so much about farming, animal care and also food preservation and stuff like that:) Also the dogs and horses are so cute and I really enjoyed taking care of them. Overall I had a really good time and also met a few locals which was nice :)

I can't be more grateful for this experience and everything Jane offered me, Jane is a great person! I always felt very welcome in her house, with her friends. She was patient with me, even when I sometimes had a hard time understanding what she was saying, also she was always willing to teach me what she knows about farming, taking care of animals, cooking (she's very good at it!). If you want to be immersed in the canadian culture, meet new people, visit beatiful places, and learn to do interesting activities like horse riding, paddle board and so on, this a really good option for you!

It was an amazing experience, I practice my English and learn about farming and horses. The farm is beautiful and there are three amazing dogs that follows you everywhere and take care of you. Jane and his dad are amazing and makes you feel at home, I recommend the experience to everyone interested in farming life and that doesn't care living away from the city.

I can only leave positive words for Jane. From the first second I arrived I felt welcomed and had absolutely no issues with accommodating. There were always more than enough groceries that I could use. Also being vegetarian was respected and no issue at all. I loved that most of the ingredients (like vegetables and herbs) are grown on the farm. Being on a farm there is always something to do. But Jane was always super aware of me not overworking. I never felt forced to do too much. Besides from helping I had a lot of free time I was able to spend on several outside activities.
