Experience life on a secluded Off-Grid Farm, help us keep up with the project by beeing involved in all the project´s activities : Weeding, Mulching, preparing the soil for planting, cultivating and harvesting in our vegateble gardens, helping with the maintanance in all common areas, keeping trails clean and openning up new ones...etc

Descrizione: Los voluntarios contribuyen con la cantidad por día (dependiendo duración de estancia ) para cubrir los gastos de su alojamiento, comida, ingredientes, papel higiénico, materiales y herramientas que se pierden o rompen, lavandería de sus sabanas y mantas con jabones biodegradables...etc.

(recomendamos estancias de 3 o 4 semanas para tener una experiencia más integral) La misión de nuestro proyecto es transitar hacia una forma de vida más autosuficiente y sostenible mientras vivimos en la naturaleza, co-creando un espacio de abundancia y prosperidad al que puedan unirse otras personas en el futuro, compartiendo en comunidad este estilo de vida. Por eso uno de los pilares de nuestro proyecto es la agricultura orgánica, para que la mayor cantidad posible de alimentos provengan directamente de nuestra finca, así como obtener de manera consciente y respetuosa recursos naturales para nuestras construcciones.

Acabamos de instalar un pequeño sistema de paneles solares en la casa de Alba (la fundadora del proyecto), lo que nos permite ofrecer un servicio de electricidad y internet de alta velocidad durante algunas horas al día.



The farm recieves volunteers for a Minimum of 2 weeks. *(Ideal stay 3-4 weeks)
The mission of this project is learning the transition to become more selfsufficient and sustainable while living in nature with a vision of abundance and prosperity for a small family and a small community that could live here in the future. We plan to grow in that direction through cultivating a high porcentaje of our food in a natural and much more conscious way and producing timber and other natural construction materials .

We have just installed a small Off-grid Solar Panel System in the Founders home. (Alba's cabin) This is giving us the option to offer electricity and fast Satellite INTERNET services for limited hours in the day.

Attività e turni


We have a diet based on animal products such as cheese, milk, sour cream, eggs and we eat meat (pasture and local) 3 times per week from Monday to Friday.
We can also provide a vegetarian or vegan diet.

We meet every morning ( Monday to Friday) at 6:30am in the communal area where we divide into groups to prepare breakfast, clean the common areas, start the fire, chop wood, feed the chickens, water the gardens and other routinary activities. At 7:30am we have a meeting to distribute the daily tasks , breakfast from 8-9am and after that we work untill 1pm when lunch is served.

We try to produce most of the vegetables we eat (in Finca La Quimera and in Finca La Huella) and buy from local farmers in the Farmer’s Market in Turrialba every Friday.


We ask our volunteers to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks *Stays less than 15 days can be accepted at a small additional cost.

*3 or more weeks regular diet (meat 3 times per week from Monday to Friday and dairy products): - 68.000 colones per week .

*less than 3 weeks with regular diet (meat 3 times per week from Monday to Friday and dairy products): -75 .000 colones per week .

*3 or more weeks vegetarian/vegan diet: -63.000 colones per week

*less than 3 weeks vegetarian/vegan diet: -70.000 colones per week .



The fee includes: Accommodation at the volunteers shared cabin, Food from Monday to Sunday and access to our communal kitchen. Attendance to our workshops in the afternoons

**The economic contribution shall be received in colones, the local coin, With this economic contribution you will also be supporting the development in the area, as we try to buy our supplies as local as possible and also hire local workers for maintannace.

Regole

Not drug or alcohol abuse during your stay to respect the farm values and the community around us. We promote healthy habbits in general.
Valid medical insurance in Costa Rica.
