My partner and I spent 1.5 months here and overall it was a very mixed experience. Our first bit spent in Budva was great. We had a good relationship with Gordana and made amazing friends with other volunteers. But finishing in the hostel had a really sad and disappointing end. We worked all day basically running the hostel ourselves, but the main issue ended up being that we were quite mistreated and disrespected. Guests even noticed and asked if we were okay. When informing Gordana she did not respond well. I would recommend this stay if you are just in Budva, but be aware of issues in the hostel.

My partner and I's experience started off wonderfully for the first 3 and a half weeks in Budva. Gordana was lovely to us and made us feel very respected and valued. If we had of only been in Budva the whole time it would have been a wonderful experience. Unfortunately we were sent to Budva for 18 days where Biljana gave us absolutely no respect was rude, unfriendly and made my partner and I not want to be there. Unfortunately we did not make it the full 18 days and ended up leaving a week early due to the way Biljana treated us. This was not the way we hoped this experience would end for us.

The hostel is located in the middle of the old town and close to the beach. The location is perfect. The tasks are easy and you finish your shift when everything is done. You have a lot of free time to enjoy the city and explore the surroundings when you are off. You are also gifted as you are sleeping in the attic with your private space ( curtains). The attic is spacious and has a fridge, fans and large cupboards to organise your stuffs. But, make sure to have some data because it can be difficult to get some wifi there. Also, all the kitchens and bathrooms have been renovated, brand new.

PROS - The hostel is in a great location and beautifully renovated - Gordana was very welcoming when I arrived and picked me up from the bus stop - The work was simple and we often finished early - The boat trip was a fun perk CONS - The volunteer accommodation left for me was literally a mattress sized hole in the wall - The work schedule was disorganised, as the roster would change day to day - I decided I wanted to leave early, and this wasn't dealt with very well. I felt that the response from both Gordana and Biljana was harsh. Overall, the place was nice but it just wasn't for me

PROS: - Free speed boat tour in the guest house. - Owners are very welcoming and super hard working women. - the guest house is gorgeous to explore. Lots of beaches in the surrounding area. - More than one day off per week. - Standard reception and daily cleaning/laundry tasks - The hostel is newly renovated, very high end facilities CONS: - Had to make our own schedule after asking 3 times to be provided with one - Last minute changes made it difficult to plan our days off - Lack of communication (especially when it came to guest payment) - Confusion amongst volunteers and being reprimanded

I had the best volunteer experience so far! I loved Budva and that was the volunteer that I most connected with the guests and also with the owners. Everynight I was there at the hostel having a beer and nice conversation with the guests and Bozo, the son of the owner. Such a nice guy! And Gordana and Biljana, the owners, always treat me so well. The hostel also runs pub crawls, what makes your experience very social. Budva its Beautiful and the hostel made the city looks prettier.

I spent amazing volunteering days total almost 2 months both in Budva and Kotor properties. Both hostels are run by same family and they're all very welcoming. My tasks were mostly cleaning rooms, common area, kitchen, bathrooms and beds making. Nothing is difficult as owners are always there and helps whenever necessary. Can't thank enough Gordana, Biljana, Gunja and Bozo! They treated me as part of their family. After spending 2 months now I feel this is my second home in the hostel and they're my family! I'll absolutely miss you all! Can't wait to come back again next summer!

I had a great experience volunteering in this hostel, I spent some weeks in Budva and some others in Kotor, both hostels really well located in the middle of the Old Town (the most touristic area with plenty of restaurants and bars) and near the beach. Gordana and Biljana were amazing hosts, really kind! They made me feel welcome since day one and were always there helping during the shifts and solving all doubts or problems that may arise . The job was easy, just 4 hours per day and 1 day off per week. I enjoyed my time there so much that I finally extended 15 days more! Highly recommended!

The staff at the hostel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home and were always ready to assist with any inquiries we had. Their professionalism and warm demeanor truly made a difference in creating a positive atmosphere. Furthermore, the location couldn't have been better. It was conveniently situated near major attractions, public transportation, and a plethora of dining options, making it easy for us to explore the city.

It was a great experience! I stayed for a week in Budva and then spent my final 3 weeks in Kotor. Both places were beautiful! So much to see and do. Tasks were easy, only 4 hours a day, 1 day off a week, what gave me plenty of time to explore the city! It's a family own hostel, everyone was so nice and welcoming. Biljana- the owner, is the most amazing person! Very helpful and fun. I can 100% recommend and I'd do it all over again as my experience in there was great!
