I had an incredible time volunteering at RMB!! As my first volunteer experience, I was so grateful for the immediate welcome and kindness that I received from both Jack & Billie and also the other volunteers. The hours required were not demanding at all & left me with plenty of time to explore the beautiful city and surrounds. It was the cosiest and most heart-warming place I could've chosen to start my trip with & with the most beautiful people too <3

It doesn't take long to be comfortable because RMB is a place that fosters comfort and friendship. Remember, be open. Be friendly. Meet people. Have fun. Put in the hours, (Which are some of the shortest I have ever done) and spend your time any how you want. Be respectful and kind. I could stay here forever.

I've returned to the hostel multiple times because it is a beautiful community full of cool people, and because it's a super safe and cozy hostel. Jack and Billie always have your back and they work really hard to support a dynamic community of volunteers at RMB, as well as to balance the volunteer responsibilities with fun activities and enough time off to explore Edinburgh & Scotland.

This was honestly one of the best hostel experiences I have ever had. It felt like a home away from home which was really thanks to the managers Jack and billie and the other volunteers I met there. It is in the best location and right across the street from the sister hostel which was very convenient. Would recommend RMB to anyone, I will definitely be returning!!

I can't even put into words how incredible volunteering at RMB was. I met so many people and fell in love with Edinburgh, leaving was so hard but I'm grateful for every second I spent there! The workload is easy and very manageable and Jack and Billie are so amazing at working the schedule around volunteers. Thank you Jack and Billie for everything!!!

I've volunteered in a few places before, and this was by far the best! Perfect location, perfect people, perfect vibes! Super chill and flexible work, with fair hours. Billie & Jack, you've got my heart forever. Thank you so much for everything! I haven't even left yet and I already can't wait to come back! Thank you, RMB fam! I'll never forget it!

My stay at RMB was the best first volunteer experience! I would 110% recommend for everyone who wants to learn how it is to work in a hostel and meet super friendly people from all over the world :) Jack and Billie is so nice. The work hours are great and you always have time to explore the city and do things you want to do. It's definitely a place I would go back to!

My time at the hostel was truly unforgettable! Jack and Billie are amazing hosts! The environment they've created for us volunteers is like being part of a little family away from home. The work is also more than fair, super flexible and leaves plenty of time to explore the city. Thank you for everything, I will miss you all so dearly!💟

I had an amazing time at the hostel and I would definitely recommend to anyone who would like to volunteer in Edinburgh! It was such an amazing way to meet new people from all around the world, experience Scottish culture, and gain experience working in a hostel. The managers were so great, they were welcoming, helpful and really cared about their volunteers. The work was fair and was true to the description and still allowed us lots of free time to explore the city.

I truly recommend this experience at RMB! It's the kind of place where you leave not wanting to go and with the certainty that you'll come back. Jack and Billie are amazing and make the work clear and simple. You build great friendships, not only with the volunteers but also with the guests. I'm already missing everyone! 💖
