My experience at the hostel couldn't have been better! Management (Kat and Jake) are absolutely lovely, accommodating, and great to talk to. The hours you'll volunteer are very reasonable which leaves you plenty of time to explore the city. The hostel itself is super cozy and quiet, however there are frequent social outings and activities run by the hostel volunteers (you). This means you'll have a great balance between relaxing/home-y vibes and a social life. I've had a very fun experience at RMB and I've made some great friends. I'd definitely recommend volunteering here!

My experience with the hostel was the best in the world! I volunteered for two months and learned a lot from everyone I met. It's a great place to practice English, meet amazing people, have fun and make lifelong friendships. Jake and Kat were wonderful hosts who helped me and gave me all the support I needed. The work is easy, and there is plenty of time to get to know Edinburgh better. This experience was unforgettable, and I will miss you all <3

This was a great experience and I really found that being at the hostel was like an oasis in the city center. Don't let that fool you though as there is space to have some lively parties. The work was not at all difficult and the staff are always there to help out if need be. All in all this was a great experience and I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a base in Scotland.

The hostel was the perfect first experience, the work is incredibly easy, the hours are nothing, all the other volunteers get along perfectly, kat and jake are the funniest and kindest managers/people you'll ever have pleasure to meet. i already miss everyone, can't wait to come back!!

Spending a month with the hostel team was a lot of fun, Jake and Kat are amazing and very receptive people, the tasks are simple and when done in a team super easy to do, schedules were always respected and flexibility allowed us to da beautiful trip to the Highlands. Thank you Jake for weaving us so well and for all the moments we lived together. We made friendships that we will carry for life.I hope to be able to meet them again and return to the hostel again, we loved the experience.

It was amazing staying in the hostel!! The shift is really simple, we had fun places to go almost everynight with the hosts and guests. Pubs, karaoke, parties. They are flexible and helpfull. We had so much fun staying there!! We would even stay more if they weren't full.

My all-time favourite work&travel experience EVER! The work is super easy and at a great time during the day, leaving you a lot of time to explore. But what truly made this place so amazing is the people. Not only does RMB have a big volunteer group, as well as all the cool guests, volunteers and staff from the sister Hostels, but Jake and Kat are also just the sweetest, most awesome, funny people you'll meet. If you love Scotland, connecting with international travellers & locals, forming friendships, going out but also having the freedom to just chill, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!

This was an amazing volunteer experience for me. I had a great time at the hostel. Jake and Kat were super friendly and welcoming. The task were easy and exactly what we had agreed before my stay. The hostel is very cozy and the location cant be better. I am very grateful for this experience and I would definitely recommend it to all who are wanting to spend some time in Edinburgh.

Jake and Kat were very welcoming and the hostel is a cozy place to live. The shifts were no more than two hours and the work wasn't hard at all. I would recommend This place to everyone!

Do not look any further, it's here!!! this place is incredible, Jack and kat are wonderful, always attentive and will help you in any way they can, the work is great almost always there are three types of tasks which are distributed a moment before starting work, they are: cleaning bathrooms / kitchen / and prepare rooms. nothing difficult, the location is great Edinburgh is magical. And if you don't know what to do, the hostel has activities every day! I really recommend it!!!
