My time here was so fun! the hostel& surroundings are beautiful& the schedule allows you to do many trips. I met awesome people, my time here felt like a long sleepover! You get food& drinks for free, which was very nice. But the position lacks managment& communication: I worked 25h/week instead of 18h (what we had agreed). You don't get explained anything about the job (only the other volunteers do it), which is overwhelming at first. You also often work longer than your shift is (housekeeping). So even if I had a great time, and the hostel itself is lovely, the job needs to be improved.

Hi Charlotte, I'm sorry for the problems you encountered, you didn't tell it to me or to the others. Regarding the job, I've already changed the amount of hours on Worldpackers, my fault! I thought that another volunteer who has already accomplished the tasks could explain them better than us. But we keep in high consideration your suggestions because they help us improve our offer, so thank you for everything!!

Overall I had a mostly great time at the hostel, I met amazing people I loved to explore the area around Genoa and it was easy to do day trips as you mostly work in the evenings. Most of the staff were really nice. However you should prepare to sometimes work longer than your shift is and the host did not give me the free days that we agreed upon, after stating the issue they were not willing to change anything. Instead they made me leave a day early which led to me being super stressed the last few days until I had to activate WP Safeguard to not sleep on the streets on my last night.

First of the Deal you get here is great. For the work you do you get so much in return, better than anywhere else I've been. The team is very nice, the rooms are comfortable and the hostel is an amazing city to explore. The only problem is the communication. When I arrived nobody really told me what to do and even after I figured it out, you often didn't fully know what to do. So it's a nice stay but two weeks where enough. Would still recommend.

I really loved my stay here! The surroundings and the Hostel are beautiful and the Volunteers get all food and drinks for free. Also a big shoutout to the staff, who made me feel so welcome and appreciated. I made a lot of friends in that time! Only bad thing is the management. I got accepted for a position with 18 hours, but ended up having to work 25 a week and even more. The work itself is really fun but it's not really being explained to you by anyone but the other volunteers! But still, I can only recommend going, just check your hours! Much love🫶🏽

Unfortunately my experience with the hostel wasn't the best.I wasn't feeling welcome from the start and the tasks where not fully explained.After my first mistake there they wanted to end our collaboration and they didn't let me fully explain the situation.I feel like they should seriously work on their managment and communication because they expect from volunteers to cover heavy shifts and do tasks that someone else would be payed and covered by an insurance to do.With that beign said the stuff members were okay but sometimes they wouldn't talk to me,the working hours were respected.

I loved my stay here, the hostel is incredible with so many perks and benefits for guests as well as volunteers, and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming, and were always so happy to help with anything. The work was pretty simple, it's a very social position and you get to meet loads of other travellers. The shift times were always respected.

This hostel is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. You'll meet so many people from all around the world. Everyone is very lovely. The kitchen has free food for you to use. The rooms are spacious and clean. the hostel and the surrounding villages are also very beautiful. All in all I would recommend this experience.

I had the best time, everyone is so nice and you meet so many people! Also the location is pretty good and there's a lot to explore in and around the hostel. The Hostel is a really fun place to stay and I would totally recommend to volunteer there ❤️

The hostel has really nice facilities and is in a good location. The tasks that need to be done are pretty simple. The volunteers help with the activities that are hosted every day so you get to talk to a lot of people who are also staying at the hostel which is really fun. I would recommend the experience to everyone!

I truly loved my stay at the hostel! Both the staff members and the guests are wonderful, the place feels like home and the work gives you a chance to meet with travellers from all over the world! The working hours are in the evening, scheduled in advance so you can plan daytrips or explore the hostel during the day. I definitely recommend this place and hope to be back! :))
