I had a beautiful experience. They surprised me with the best birthday of my adult life—I'll always be grateful for that! The hostel is beautiful, cozy, social, and a great place to meet people from all over. I fell in love with the island's nature and enjoyed the fun nightlife. It was my first time doing cleaning; it felt challenging at first, but I adapted fast. Some unexpected changes made me feel uncomfortable, but after talking with the manager, things were resolved. Overall, I'm thankful and happy with my experience at RYM. Thank you all 🩵

It was a very enriching experience. I had the chance to meet people from all over the world, get to know myself better, and experience the city in an authentic way. The tasks were challenging at times, but manageable with a bit of extra effort and allowed free time to explore and socialize. A great opportunity for anyone looking for real connections with people and places.

I had some of the best times of my life at RYH! The atmosphere and people are so welcoming and cozy. This hostel is my favourite so far, home away from home. There were adjustments for everyone regarding the work and we were all learning how to communicate in the best way. The team is really great and we had loads of fun together! Tristan is wonderful and will try to adjust the schedule so you can explore this beautiful place. The hostel is stunning and a great place to work. You will having an incredible time here. Made so many life long friends and memories. Miss you!!

I love the hostel, and I made the best connections I have ever made in hostels, the area is perfect and the work is simple.The hours varied most of the time 30mins to an hour over. I was mainly cleaning, they did say they usually pay a cleaner but we didn't have one.The manager was always lovely and welcoming and the whole team always said how they appreciate me and I da good job.I was only made uncomfortable in the last week where I came late for the first time and was told I was disrespectful and they were unhappy with all of our work, manager didn't look or talk to us for 3 days.

I recommend this experience 100% I felt at home from the beginning to the end of my stay in this the hostel. We were a team of 4 volunteers and we worked 2 to 3 hours a day with 2 days off a week. Tristan (the manager) took everyone's opinions and wishes into account when planning the schedule. The tasks were simple (exclusively cleaning the common areas and rooms) and afterwards we had plenty of time to enjoy Rethymno and the surrounding area! I recommend it for anyone looking for a warm place to socialize and share moments with travelers Thanks to Tristan , Nikos and Joseph!

I loved my time at the hostel where I met some of the best people ever !! I'm so grateful and happy to have been able to volunteer here and thankful for Tristan, Joseph, and Nikos for making the place feel like such a home for me and everyone there ! The work is super straightforward and the atmosphere is the absolute best. Will be thinking of Rethymno forever and can't wait to come back one day !!! Truly heaven on earth 🫶🏻☺️

I am so grateful that my first volunteer experience was with the hostel. From day one I felt super welcomed and part of a team and also kind of a family. The hostel ist beautiful and a place where you'll feel very comfortable staying at. The work is easy and the hours are super fair. I was sad to leave but I'll definitely be back and visit. Thank you Tristan, Nicos and Joseph for making this a truly amazing and special experience!!

I couldn't have wish for a better first volunteering experience ! The hostel is very friendly and chill and enables you to meet a lot of amazing persons. Rethymno is a very cute city that doesn't get too busy and from where you can do lots of beautiful day trips. The work is easy and the hours are respected. Thanks again to Tristan, Nikos and Joseph for making me feel welcomed from the beginning ! Highly recommend !

Genuinely one of the best experiences of my life. Can't speak highly enough of the team here, honestly felt like a second family. Work hours organised and agreed to, such an open hearted and loving place to live, you meet so many amazing people at the hostel and get to socialise with them too. The work itself very straightforward and easy, folding sheets and tidying common areas. Shoutout Joseph, Nikos and Tristan - I miss you all already!!! 🥹🙏🤍 thank you!

I loved my time at the hostel so much that I extended my stay. It's an ideal spot for meeting fellow travelers and arranging day trips. It's no surprise that people keep coming back. The workload was manageable, and the hours were flexible during the low season. Joseph and Nikos are caring hosts who ensure the volunteers' well-being and continuously enhance the hostel's organization. I couldn't have asked for a better volunteer team—Elena and Maria, Ily both and can't wait to reunite. Tristan, the manager, is incredibly dedicated, passionate and inspiring. Missing you, Boludo!
