The hostel is an amazing hostal to be. It feels so cozy and has a home vibe. Even though it is small, it holds so many messages left by guests and volunteers, along with countless little details and memories all around . It is a place where you can meet a lot of people while also having time for yourself. The location is perfect if you're looking for parties, restaurants, culture, and everything within walking distance. I definitely recommend it—a place to be happy!

I adored my 2 months at the hostel. It truly felt like a second home. Olga and Gabor are a pleasure to work for. They are kind, helpful and very knowledgeable about the city. When I had a medical emergency during my stay, Olga and Gabor were there for me and made sure I was looked after. the hostel really is like a family! The work itself is very simple - general cleaning, reception and guest interaction. The hours are very fair and leave lots of time to explore the city. The location is very central. I cannot recommend the hostel enough and I am already looking forward to returning!

It was overall a lovely experience, Olga was very friendly and Gabor had good intentions. However, the communication could be a lot better. Gabor had a bad day and decided to yell at me for it -which made me feel unwanted and I almost switched hostels-. Apart from the fact that that didn't make sense, the hostel was chill and quite fun. Feel free to message me, I'd be happy to answer anybody's questions:))

I’m surprised you chose to highlight this incident among the many positive times with us.
Once, Gabor found the place you were entrusted with trashed and you asleep on the couch 4 hours into your shift. In response, he raised his voice — unprecedented in 18 years of operation — but almost instantly apologized. The following two weeks were spent in good spirits without conflict.
For future hosts: Umay is a bright, bubbly young lady and, with improved work ethic, will no doubt be valuable help.

The hostel is a one of a kind hostel with a great atmosphere! The hostel is very small and cozy so the vibe is almost like communal living, which makes socializing with guests and other volunteers happen very naturally. Since the hostel is small, the work is pretty simple and not very demanding. I really enjoyed my time volunteering, and would definitely recommend it!!:)) (+ the city is amazing)

From the way Olga makes sure to offer each guest a glass of water to sitting down with them to map Budapest's must-do's to making me feel so loved across the world from home, Olga is the heart of the hostel. Chandler—the manager—is a strong leader, understanding, charismatic, and down-to-earth all at once. The work is not demanding, and I love that the hostel is small, so it feels as if you are staying at a friend's house. I'll always remember shared dinners with Chandler and Ronja (my co-volunteer bestie!), hours spent playing card games with guests, and hostel pub crawls :) 11/10 recommend!

The kind of place that has something for everyone, I would plan a whole trip to Budapest just to visit again! This was my last big trip before school and I'm glad I decided to go, I felt welcomed from the first chat, got to hangout with people from all over and as more days passed I understood why people move to Budapest more and more. I wouldn't change a thing about my trip except maybe I'd have another kebab.

The hostel is a small family style hostel in the heart of Budapest! I immediately felt welcomed into the hostel! Work hours were explained prior to arriving and they are well respected. The tasks are basic hostel work; reception, housekeeping etc. Lots of time to explore the city. Fantastic owners, lots of interaction with other volunteers and guests. I very much enjoyed my time! Thank you!

I had an amazing time at the the hostel! It is very small & cozy & therefore a very social hostel where it is easy to meet other travelers. The work is exactly as described & very manageable. Olga, Chandler & Gabor are great hosts & make you feel at home. You have lots of free time to explore the city & its nightlife which is super fun. Definitely recommend this experience!! :)

This was my first time working at a hostel and I definitely chose the best one! It's the perfect place to get to know Budapest while meeting lovely people. Olga is the best host and one of the nicest people I've ever met, so the hostel has a homely atmosphere and attracts like minded clientele. The hours give good time off to explore the city, and the work load is very simple. Olga, Gabor and workers (Chandler and Kyle) give great suggestions on places to visit and are always up for a chat. I spent a month here between travel and could definitely have spent longer, highly recommend!

Olga is a truly amazing, one of a kind person. She radiates like the sun with joy and enthusiasm that is infectious. Her intimate knowledge of Budapest, and her genuine love of all art, culture, people, and places, will inspire you to explore and appreciate Budapest with wholehearted abandon.
