The Center is a special place. Spend time here and you have the opportunity to experience a different pace of life. You can get out in the fresh air to explore nature or have peace to look inward. Use your initiative to make the most of what Tyrol has to offer: I hiked miles, checked out Innsbruck, went skiing in St Anton, visited Munich. I also spent time on my own yoga practice in the yoga hall and joined some retreat classes (eek most were German!). The work is full on when you are on shift but the tasks are clear and fair. Stay for more than a month to understand the flow of the house!

I love spent time in Alpen retreat, surrounded by nature especially beautiful mountain and full of resources to promote you to connect with your self for example library , yoga hall, meditation room. Besides I get some chance to join a yoga session in Retreat Course. Practicing yoga form YouTube by myself makes help me, now I can picture about my future life path clearer. Other facilities that impressed me is the kitchen with well equipped and the room we stay is really cozy. Some recommendations is if the host could engage and communicate more with the volunteer, My stay will be perfect.

Alpen retreat was a great experience, the host was lovely and made sure me and my boyfriend had our days off together. the shifts are relatively easy and the cleaning tasks aren't hard as it's done everyday it's just keeping on top of it. we felt very welcomed. the only downside was on a busy retreat we didn't have many volunteers and the hosts had the flu so couldn't help which made it tiring and stressful but due to no fault of the host. all in all a great time and the hosts was helpful with knowledge of getting around the area

I loved the experience, Ely and Wolfgang are great hosts, the job is very easy, the food is wonderful, the place is incredible, many nice trails and nearby to do, exchanging with the other volunteers is very nice, giving practice in English, in addition to being a very conducive place for your self-knowledge, for me the experience of this volunteer was very enriching personally, besides the place is very welcoming, I hope to return one day! I miss you already 💖

Amazing location with so many really cool hikes around. The amount of work is really reasonable once you get settled in and everyone in the house is super supportive and friendly - I found the experience really rewarding. Thanks so much Elly for having me :)

Our experience was amazing! Working hours were respected, work itself was easy, and we could have our days off together. The volunteers who were there were amazing. And the place itself is beautiful. People who love nature will love the landscape, the trails, lakes, and mountains. We didn't have to much opportunity to spend time with the hosts, but they were nice people. We totally recommend the Center and we would love to go back one day.

El lugar es hermoso la comida que es vegana es deliciosa aprendes mucho y todos tienen una energía muy positiva, amables y cordiales en todo sentido, excelente para desconectar un poco, meditar y pasear por las montañas.

This experience in Alpen retreat was astounding. Everything there is overwhelming. It's a beautiful place surround by nature with many things to do in its surroundings. Wolfgang and Elly are wonderful people, it was a pleasure to have met them and especially their son, the funniest and most intelligent boy I have ever met. I can't wait to come back.

Elly & Wolfgang put their heart and soul into creating this special place, and it shows. The Austrian nature around with mountains, rivers and lakes is breathtaking. The work was straightforward and fair. Some days you could join the retreat's activities depending on the group. The volunteers were from all over the world. It was a beautiful and fun experience. I would totally recommend coming here and I would love to come back one day too!
