I had a wonderful time at the guest house! Everything was exactly what Charlotte had described, and the meals were absolutely fantastic. There's lots of beautiful areas for hiking, and Charlotte was always willing to give us a lift into Inverness when she was headed in. She also took us on outings to other areas of Scotland, was always willing to answer any of my questions, and tell me her stories about growing up in Scotland. Charlotte is direct in her instructions, but she really cares about her volunteers! This experience was a dream come true, and I hope to be able to return soon :)

Aysa So sorry I missed the review deadline as you know due to a very recent family bereavement so my mind was somewhat engaged elsewhere recently. However, I found your participation here just like your previous visit and once again found you to be really helpful, friendly, willing to tackle any tasks willingly and with great attitude and I am pleased you are going to be returning again in 2026.

Charlotte is a very caring person. She made us delicious and filling meals. She is great to chat with and learn from. The accommodation is clean, spacious, and really comfortable. Drumnadrochit is in a beautiful area surrounded by trees and rolling hills. It has great hiking trails. It is a fun touristy town with greats pubs and an awesome fish and chips place. There are also a nearby hostel and bnb where you can meet other volunteers. Inverness is close by and Charlotte will happily give you a ride there when she is going into town. Overal,l it was truly an amazing experience.

My experience in the guest house was truly wonderful. From day one, I felt welcomed and surrounded by peace and nature. I discovered a beautiful, charming village and had the chance to enjoy, learn, and grow throughout my stay. Charlotte made everything even more special. She was kind, supportive, and always attentive—offering fun plans, lovely outings, and constant help with anything I needed. Her warmth made me feel completely at home. I leave with great memories, valuable lessons, and deep gratitude. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something meaningful and authentic.

My experience at the guest house was wonderful. The tasks were very straight forward, Charlotte was very communicative and the other volunteers were absolutely lovely. Drumnadrochit is a great place to connect with nature and accessible to Inverness.

I had an incredible stay at the guest house. The surroundings are beautiful, for me getting to know the Highlands was a dream come true, there are still so many places I want to explore, so I hope to come back soon. Charlotte is a great host, sharp as a tack and a fantastic cook too. I learn a lot from her and Dick about Whiskey, Scotland, and life. the work is exactly as described in her profile, so what to expect? I recommend always reading carefully. Charlotte, Dick, Sophie and Rags were like a family away from home Drumnadrochit is a beautiful village in the heart of the highlands, after a month (with a car) I still had so many places I wanted to explore Work hours were respected, the tasks were easy and the 3 meals were delicious and the accomodations is amazing ! Charlotte & Dick arranged days out, dinners in town, whiskey tastings and incredible local knowledge and often surprised us with treats, we felt cared for and happy throughout our stay Any questions, feel free to ask :) Thanks again Charlotte !

Compartilhar esse tempo na guest house foi incrível, fiz amigos que quero levar pra vida, as horas de trabalho são tranquilas, o trabalho é bem simples depois que você aprende é quase sempre terminamos antes, a comida é sensacional e local, muito boa, Charllote é um amor de pessoa depois que você conhece de verdade, só precisa de calma e tempo, recomendo que todo leiam o livros dos voluntários nos primeiros dias. Com certeza voltaria e ficaria mais tempo, é muita paz em um lugar lindo

The place is incredible, the accomodations are amazing, there are a lot of local hikes that you can go, Sophie and Rags are very good pets and you'll have a great time with them. Charlotte is very good, she likes things done her way because she has been in the business many years. She loves talking about Scotland, she is very proud to be from the UK and she loves talking about music. I would recommend the experience, it takes patience to learn how to do the things you need to, but they are very simple tasks. I went on the off-season so there was not much work to do, but enjoyed the experience.

My experience at the guest house was truly amazing. The nature and surrounding areas are incredible. Charlotte is a great host and I've learnt a lot from her! She runs a bread and breakfast. The work can be hard at first, but once you learn how to complete the tasks you're good to go! :) I was there on off season so I got to hang out with Sophie more and take her on walks. Charlotte took me on trips on days off to see some beautiful places in Inverness. Thank you for everything! I will make sure to stay here again at one point this year :) will miss you, Sophie and Rags!!
