Fue una experiencia muy linda! Mi primera vez en Portugal, me recibieron súper bien y conocí un grupo de personas maravilloso. El trabajo es súper práctico y sencillo y además te da tiempo de pasear y conocer el lugar! Gracias !

This was my first trip with Worldpackers, so I was quite anxious before I arrived. However there was no need to be. I was made to feel so welcome by Mauro, other staff and my flat mates. My time in the surf shop helped me gain more knowledge in the sport, which I am now keen to further improve! The atmosphere is super friendly and chill, and I highly recommend staying in this lovely environment!

I had a really good time !! I was able to use the boards whenever and to join lesson if I wanted to ! everyone was really nice and the wether was great ! I recommend it 🙌

Hay 3 negocios donde trabajas; café, rental de surf y kayaks. A cambio, obtener un lugar en una casa muy linda a 20 minutos caminando de dichos lugares de trabajo. El trato fue muy bueno pero sentí que no era una experiencia para mí ya que no hay un responsable en la casa y por ende, hubieron algunos problemas de orden. Me gustó mucho convivir con las personas de la casa y creo que pasamos tiempo de calidad surfeando y cocinando. Simplemente creo que la casa y el trabajo no estaban organizados correctamente. Excepto por las bicis, ofrecen los tours, equipo de surf y el 25% en el café.

It was my first trip with WP, so I was a bit anxious before arrival, especially since communication with Mauro was a bit low before arrival. But once I arrived, I really loved my stay at the guest house! The house, the Algarve region and the whole place was just magical! The team really felt like a family. The work was easy, however the task were not exactly the one agreed upon before arrival - which was not bad, just not what I expected. Sometimes things were a bit messy - but all in all I loved my time at the guest house and I will definitely be back to visit and improve my surfing skills even more!!!

Volunteering at the guest house was a pretty good experience to me. The tasks are easy to do (mine was to work at the surf kiosk, renting surf equipment and taking the surf lessons bookings) and it never exceed 4h of work as agreed. In exchange, it is possible to rent surfboards and wetsuits anytime or to join the surf lessons as well. Mauro is flexible and I could change my days off when I wanted. I felt like it was a really fair exchange. The all team is fun and nice. Also, the volunteer house, the Galé beach, the environment in general is magical. I will come back for sure!

It was an incredible experience that I recommend to anyone! The tasks were super flexible and Mauro is a super nice and collaborative person. You can surf whenever you want and all the locals are very friendly and help you! In the surfhouse I lived with many wonderful people with whom we became real friends, we come all from different countries and that's the best thing, when you can discover new people and new cultures! Really recommended, I wanted to stay more and probably I'll come back in the future!
