Mi experiencia en la granja fue mágica, única e inolvidable. Elmer es una increíble persona con la que me dio mucho gusto compartir a diario, aprendí muchísimo del y las labores para sostener un lugar como ese, es super flexible y está dispuesto a que tú propongas cosas para realizar ahí en la finca. Los horarios de trabajo se respetaban y el trabajo en sí es enriquecedor porque además de hacerlo para ayudar a Elmer también lo haces para que tu estadía ahí sea placentera (limpiar gallinero, sacar cacao, dar de comer animales, limpiar hojas, limpieza de espacios comunes, cocinar).

Mi tiempo de estadía en Río la granja Eco Farm ha sido una de mis mejores experiencias de voluntariado hasta ahora. Por motivos de trabajo pude quedarme solo una semana y no dos, como esperaba, sin embargo, me fui con toda la intención de volver. Los muchachos hacen que uno se sienta cómodo en todo momento y solo esperan a cambio que uno como voluntario cumpla con las condiciones acordadas, se respetan por completo las horas de trabajo y el lugar está en completa conexión con la naturaleza. Gracias por la oportunidad, nos vemos en el futuro!

I spent 20 days at the farm, a place of spectacular richness. Cooking with Chef Elmer González introduced me to new Costa Rican flavors, while every banana tree pruning, river crossing, and jungle trail revealed more about Drake Bay. Conversations with the host and guests reinforced the importance of clear and assertive communication. the farm EcoFarm is a place to fully immerse yourself in local and daily needs, strengthen empathy, and be proactive in the mutual contribution that makes everything happen. I leave knowing each of us carries a planted seed in our hearts. Pura Vida! 🌱

Elmer doesn't know a lot of English and the tasks are not clearly explained for travelers without a large Spanish vocabulary. It was really great to connect with him and see how he lives on the farm. The night tours and creatures there are magnificent. I highly recommend going as a tourist and checking it out. The jungle is a beautiful place to be.

I can truly recommend this place to everyone. It was simply magical—you can connect with nature every day. There are also amazing dogs that love to be petted.

Fue una experiencia maravillosa🙌, es un gran acercamiento a la naturaleza, aprendi mucho sobre la cultura local, el anfitrión y su equipo de trabajo son personas muy amigables, responsables y respetuosos, siempre nos hicieron sentir como en casa 🏡. Sin duda recomiendo mucho esta experiencia.

Sin duda un acercamiento a la naturaleza, un hermoso lugar, lejos de la ciudad, ideal para conectar con el medio ambiente, todo muy bonito. Si hay que tener en cuenta que se trata de convivir con la naturaleza, mosquitos, arañas, ranas y serpientes, a mi me dan mucho miedo pero aprendí a convivir con todos ellos :)

The experience of the farm was great! We lived in jungle and worked with animals like feeding chickens and pig. Be ready to cross the river, walk up the stairs, and deal with insects and mosquitoes. Other than that, you will gain a once-in-a life time experience! Thank you Elmer and Anna for the host and help, you guys are amazing ! Don't forget to try the food of Elmer, it's espectacular !

Give the jungle the opportunity and it will open its arms wide and welcome you with a warm hug and guaranteed it will keep you warm while you're immersed in it! Bring good vibes y buena onda and the González family will bring it back tenfold. A special place and it was an honor to look after it and experience it for the time I did.
