The hostal definitely felt like our home away from home. The vibe is as if you're in the house of your best friend. Although it was low-season, we had a great experience working reception and help with the renovations. The host, Wilo, is incredibly welcoming and kind. He takes time to get to know you and to learn from you. Irini and I volunteered together, and although we worked different shifts, we had enough time to explore Valladolid and its surroundings. Wilo had great recommendations for the city as well. We had a great time in this casa!

This was my first volunteering experience and it couldn't have gone better, Valladolid is a quiet, but lovely town with amazing food, I felt very safe too. The work in the hostel was light and very relaxed, just keeping general maintenance of the hostel etc. Wilo, the host, could not have been more hospitable. He really looked after the volunteers, always wanting to make us comfortable, bringing us food, or giving us lifts etc. There was a wide variety of nationalities, and I also made 2 best friends here! <3 The bedroom was comfortable and the lockers are also spacious. I reccomend this 100%

I really loved my stay in the hostel, the hostal is super welcoming and friendly, you feel at ease straight away Wilo is really lovely, he does everything to make you feel at home and he's super accommodating with the volunteers. the tasks are easy to understand and correspond to what's described, plus you don't really feel like you're working, but rather helping out and having fun at the same time Thanks again Wilo :))

I had the best 3 weeks at Wilo's place. Wilo as a person is one of the most kind, atentive people, he really made sure the volunteers always were comfortable, giving us great tips and a ride when needed. The work was very chill, mostly recieving guests, light cleaning and socializing. Valladolid is a cozy and safe town, always felt comfortable walking alone at all hours. The cenotes in the area are beautiful, the bikes and scooters we got to borrow were helpful. Lastly I have to thank the other volunteers I stayed with, those girls really became some of my closest friends<3. Hope to come back!

La realidad es que pasé unas dos semanas muy amenas y tranquilas en el hostel, ya que Wilo (el dueño) y su Rubí (la empleada) te hacen sentir como en casa. Lo acordado es sumamente respetado y Wilo te la posibilidad extra de generar dinero ayudándolo en tus días libres, vendiendo productos para el esparcimiento de los turistas y/o alquilando sus scooters y bicicletas... Desde ya, fue un gusto estar acá y hubiera sido de mi agrado quedarme más tiempo en el hostel! Muchas gracias por los consejos, Wilo...

I stayed in the hostel for two weeks and I think Valladolid is a good place if you are looking to experience real Mexico and chill. It is a really small city and a small hostel so you will have a lot of time for yourself.

Mi experiencia en el Hostel fue excelente! Realmente no pudo ser mejor, me sentí tan cómoda que se volvió mi hogar sin dudas! Las tareas son fáciles y se respetan todos los horarios y descansos, me sentí feliz realmente Las camas e instalaciones son cómodas, la ubicación es genial Wilo y ruby son personas amables y divertidas, te tratan como su familia y eso es impagable Conocí personas de todo el mundo y mejoré mi inglés! Sin dudas recomiendo este voluntariado a todo el mundo ❤️ volvería sin pensarlo dos veces

Mi experiencia en este voluntariado fue súper linda, desde que llegué Wilo me recibió muy atento y amable, el ambiente es tan agradable que te sientes como en casa, las tareas son sencillas y está muy bien ubicado. Lo recomiendo 100%😊🫶

Wilo es un excelente anfitrión, me sentí todo el tiempo muy cómoda, él y todo el staff son muy agradables. Las tareas son fáciles y se respetan los horarios. Durante mi estancia aprendí diversas cosas y conocí personas increíbles, la ciudad es muy linda y tranquila, sin duda regresaré, fue una experiencia única y bella :)
