Súper bonita experiencia aquí en el hostel. Las tareas son muy sencillas (me tocó estar en recepción, ayudar a tender camas, y ayudar en el desayuno y la cena). El hostal queda super céntrico asi que incluso en lo días laborales puedes aprovechar bien San Cristóbal y sus alrededores. La casa de los voluntarios queda cerca al hostal y la comida es muy rica. Tuve la oportunidad de conocer gente de todo el mundo y el hostal tiene ambiente muy social para conocer gente.

El hostel es un lugar increíble, el lugar indicado para socializar y conocer viajeros de todo el mundo, las personas del staff son gente maravillosa, atenta y amables, siempre se respetaron mis horarios de trabajo y actividades acordadas. Sin lugar a dudas el mejor Hostel party de san cristobal de las casas... Martes y viernes cócteles gratis y jueves música en vivo.. Un lugar lleno de ambiente 24/7..aunque las actividades a realizarse eran muy sencillas y simples disfrute mucho mi tiempo en el hostel, me llevo buenos momentos y a personas maravillosas en el corazón.

I had a great time in the hostel, the staff was great and so were the other volunteers. The tasks we had were simple, and one could easily finish the shift and still enjoy de afternoon or the night. It's a great place to practice your english, since most of the guests are foreigners. the hostel has a very common effect of making people not want to leave once they get there hahaha

What can I say, having travelled to over 40 countries, staying at 100s of hostels, this may be one of the best I've ever stayed at! Working here was phenomenal, the team are amazing and so caring. Hours are fair and breaky and dinner is always of such a high quality, volunteers also have the nice touch of staying in a house a few blocks away which gives you that extra space sometimes needed for some R&R. If you are sociable / fun person who likes to meet new people then this is the place you want to volunteer, just make sure you have your days off on a Wed or Sat free cocktails though 😂

I had a nice experience volunteering at puerto the hostel. The work was really diverse which i liked. It's a really social hostel, i got to meet so many nice people!! And the breakfast and dinner is really good everyday.

During my stay, I noticed that the double standards between men and women in this hostel are extremely high and also in my time there lead to a negative work atmosphere. I can only recommend to work there for the other volunteers and especially the kitchen and cleaning staff that give the hostel it's heart and soul! Because they, and also the beautiful and magical town, where the reason why I extended my stay for 5 weeks :)

I left early because my physical health was bad AND: 1. The volunteer house is a trashed and abandoned old hostel with a few bunk beds. It currently has no working plumbing or drinking water and is a 5+ minute walk from the hostel. I hope they fix the water issue soon, but the fact that the owner made the volunteers move to a place in that state speaks volumes. 2. sometimes your shift ends at 11pm or 1am and it's not a safe walk back in the dark, especially if you're a female volunteer. 3. Felt like I was putting in more than I was getting out. Thanks for the opportunity, just not for me.

Originally planned on staying for 3 weeks ending up extending for another week, incredible hostel to meet people and make great friends, the actual tasks weren't too hard for the most part and you have some quality free time to yourself, the food was fantastic however the volunteers have to sign up for dinner like the guests and eat last which was a bit annoying at times, the house where the volunteers stay at is a bit run down but it's apparently being dealt with now, the best part is bonding with the other volunteers and some of the staff, truly made some lifelong friends here.

El hostel es sin duda el mejor voluntariado que he hecho! Extendí 1 semana mas y volvere como huesped en un mes! No puedo estar mas agradecida del trato, las condiciones y sobretodo el staff y los voluntarios con los que he podido compartir la experiencia! Sin duda pienso que tanto como voluntario como huesped es el mejor lugar de San Cristobal sin lugar a dudas! Si estas pensando en voluntariar en Mexico... aplica ya porque son excepcionales! Todas y cada una de las personas que hay alli lo hace un lugar magico! Y muchas de ellas quedan en mi ❤️
