Laura es una persona super atenta, que se preocupa de que la experiencia de las voluntarias sea la mejor posible, se preocupa de que pruebes comida típica del lugar, y que estemos lo más cómodas posibles, la verdad todo es fácil con ella. Las tareas muy relajadas, pasear las perras, arreglar las palapas y mantener el jardín. Nosotras tuvimos la suerte también de tener como anfitrión a Germán, su sobrino, un chico muy amable y sociable, al que le hemos cogido mucho cariño. Laura, ha sido un placer conocerte, y ojalá haber pasado más días contigo también, un abrazo ♥️

Corazón gracias a ustedes, siempre tan atentas, me quedo un poco apenada que no pude ser una host al 100%, yo también disfruté las pláticas y nos faltó tiempo, son un par de hermosas personas y con una actitud increíble. Cuídense mucho y disfruten su viaje. Beso grande para las 2.

I stayed at the hostel for 3 weeks and greatly enjoyed my time here! Unfortunately, at the time of my stay, Laura was traveling abroad so I never got to meet her, but her son Ron and nephew German acted as my hosts and made me feel very welcome and at home here. The tasks are simple and the hours are flexible. There is plenty of time to enjoy the beach and there are even surfboards to use if you'd like! There are 4 medium-big dogs here that were a joy to be around and I especially loved taking them for walks on the beach at sunset. Overall, this was a prefect first experience!

I had a great experience at the beach house. Laura is the perfect host! She is very welcoming and made me feel at home immediately. It's a great place to see the local culture and to immerse yourself into the language - if you're looking to practice like I was. The dogs are a joy to look after and each have their own distinctive personality - me encantaron! The daily tasks were in no way arduous and I had plenty of free time to travel a bit and see a bit more of that part of the country - the pyramids in Tajin being a highlight. If you stay here, you're going to feel welcomed and involved.

Laura cocina riquísimo, se preocupa por los voluntarios y la convivencia es bonita, son tareas no complicadas que se tratan de hacer en sombra o cuando baje el sol Desde el primer día me sentí segura, se respetan los horarios. Son hermosos los Manglares y las pirámides del Tajín. Conocí amigos que serán para toda la vida, una experiencia muy agradable, sin duda regresaría! Conecte con la naturaleza demasiado! El mar es precioso, puedes surfear. Salir a caminar con los perritos se siente como de película jjj, son un amor. Gracias por la experiencia, me fui muy feliz! ✨🫶🏻

Esta experiencia me encanto, fue mi primera vez siendo voluntario por worldpackers, Laura definitivamente es excelente anfitrión, siempre se preocupó y estuvo al pendiente de que me sintiera como en casa, tres semanas fueron suficientes para encariñarme con sus perritos, ella es una persona maravillosa, agradezco conocerla y haber tenido varias conversaciones con ella, gracias por todos sus consejos, estara siempre muy presente.

I stayed for almost two weeks at Laura's place. It had a wonderful time. Laura made sure you felt comfortable. I enjoyed the walk with the dogs twice a day and the delicious food we made for lunch. You get to know each other better and better. ❤️😊

Nuestra estancia en el hostel fue hermosa! La mayoría del tiempo estuvimos con Germán, con quien nos lo pasamos muy bien jugando a cartas o debatiendo. Al final de nuestra estancia fue con Laura con quien también conectamos mucho enseguida, una persona muy acogedora, muy interesante y que te hace sentir como en casa. Nuestro día a día consistió en pasear a los perros, regar el jardín los días que no llovía, y tareas varias de mantenimiento que no ocupaban más de 1h. Es la estancia perfecta si necesitas descansar y pasar unos días de introspección. Gracias Laura y Germán:)

Chica hermosa el placer ha sido mío, en esta ocasión ustedes fueron las que me atenderion y eso lo agradezco mucho.
Me da gusto que lo han disfrutado y recibo tus comentarios con mucho cariño, si no nos hacen ver nuestras fallas, cómo las mejoramos.
Las dos son extraordinarias chicas, tienen un hermoso carácter y efectivamente nos faltó tiempo para platicar más.

Laura is a very kind and generous host. The tasks were easy enough- (painting, light housekeeping, dog walking) and there was a lot of time to do as you please. I enjoyed being outside every day and that it was not a big tourist destination. A great place to be if you love seafood, sun, and the ocean.

I had a wonderful time at Congrejo the hostel. Laura has such a warm and welcoming personality that made me feel at home right away. The daily tasks mostly consisted of dog walking and yard work. Laura gave me a fun task that was tailored to my background in architecture which was awesome! This is a great place to practice Spanish and feel immersed in the local culture.

We loved staying with Laura, Costa Esmeralda was beautiful and it was a great way to slow down from backpacking. The dogs were just amazing and Laura was flexible on when we did our other tasks due to the heat. Lunch was the highlight of the day, we were very well fed and it was a great opportunity to get to know Laura and the other volunteers. Thank you for our first Worldpackers experience, highly recommend !
