Mi experiencia aquí ha sido memorable, el mejor voluntariado que he estado hasta el momento, más que por el tipo de proyecto, o labores que en realidad fueron sencillas, me sentí en mi hogar. Mario y Sofía son personas increíbles, familiares, generosos, siempre están pendientes de si necesitas algo, incluso con cosas personales como ir al médico, etc. Compartieron sus mejores platillos, fue una inmersión cultural “la casa”, pudimos usar las bicicletas y la moto, aprendí demasiado de ellos y su forma de vivir y ver la vida. Siento que ahora no solo tengo nuevos amigos, sino familia 🏡🫶🏻💛.

Este voluntariado se sintió como encontrar una casa lejos de casa. Sofía, Mario, Simão y María Rita, no solo nos recibieron, sino que nos integraron a su mundo y su forma de vivir y pensar, y eso nos queda en el corazón para siempre. Confirmamos que ser voluntario no es viajar barato, sino compartir vida real con personas auténticas. Gracias por hacernos parte, por la confianza y por mostrarnos Portugal desde adentro. Nos vamos con gratitud, admiración y la sensación de que siempre tendremos un hogar en Portugal. Quisiera decir mucho más pero la app no me deja. Solo queda decir: OBRIGADO!!

An Unforgettable and Heartwarming Experience Volunteering here was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I was warmly welcomed and became part of a lively, loving, and chaotic family. Every moment was filled with joy, connection, and valuable life lessons. The bond I built with everyone here is something I'll always cherish. The atmosphere is one of openness, trust, and pure love. From shared meals to spontaneous laughter, I felt appreciated and truly part of something special. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine and transformative experience.

Amazing family. Ericeria is such a unique place. Beaches are amazing and so is the food. Sofia & Mario are the nicest people. 10/10 recommend. Thank you guys so much.

I couldn't have picked a better first volunteering experience in Portugal. Fell in love with Ericeira and its surroundings. With its beaches, sunsets or spots for hiking. It's also perfect location for surfing. This town and family now have a special place in my heart! I really felt the guest house member of the family. Whatever I needed, they helped me and were very caring. Several times I was invited to share meals or to join the guest house activities. It is also inspiring how they work as a family and travel a lot with the kids. Looking forward to visiting Ericeira again:)

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was amazing! Mario and Sofia were so welcoming and helpful, they gave me lots of tips of where to go and answered any questions I had. The work was very straightforward and varied from day to day depending on how many checkouts there were. The house is located a little bit outside of town (20 minute walk) with a beautiful view of greenery and horses. Thank you for an unforgettable first Worldpackers experience!

Estar en casa de Sofía y Mario ha sido una experiencia maravillosa, así como también compartir con sus hijos Simao y María Rita. Realmente son una familia inspiradora, llenos de vida y con una energía tan positiva y hospitalaria que contagia. Sin duda, nos llevamos muchos aprendizajes, tanto de como mantener una la casa, como de consejos y enseñanzas que servirán para toda la vida. Recomendaríamos esta experiencia a cualquier viajero que quiera llegar a un lugar y sentirse como en casa. Además, Ericeira es un lugar encantador, al cual volveríamos una y otra vez. Gracias!

Mario and Sofia's the guest house is really cute and the four guest rooms are cozy and kept very clean. It is a very good volunteer opportunity if you want to go surfing and explore Ericeira.

I had a wonderful time staying at the the guest house with such a kind and welcoming family. The hours were flexible, and I had a cosy room to myself with everything I needed. I would recommend it to anybody, and I would love to come back in the future ❤️❤️
