Volunteering at this hostel was my very first World Packers experience and it went beyond expectations. I was made to feel like I was apart of a family and all the staff members were so lovely to me during the entirety of my stay. The work was exactly as advertised and it was never too hard or went overtime. I was really happy with my experience and I got to meet the most amazing people along the way. Like-minded travellers, locals and the best staff. I especially loved all the activities hosted at the hostel. Trivia, games night and pizza night (my favourite). Thank you the hostel <3

I loved my time at the hostel! I spent 6 weeks here doing reception & running events and it was perfect for me. Everything is professional with a set schedule for everyone but it's still an easy going environment. They try to be flexible if they can to make sure you can see what you want to in town. Town is small but cute. Only downside is it's a bit far from the beach (25 min walking) but for such a great hostel it's worth it. Lots of space and different rooms in the hostel to make longer term staying much more comfortable. Met loads of wonderful ppl. Thank you again Sarah and Mathilde!!

I absolutely love this place, it truly feels like a home away from home! Sarah and Mathilde are incredibly welcoming and awesome people. The work is chill and the hostel is very clean. Definitely recommend staying here!!

The hostel was my first worldpackers experience and it was amazing. I truly built a home away from home and made friends for life in port macquarie! The job was easy to get a hang of and we never worked more than the agreed upon hours. The entire staff is incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable right away, and the hostel has a great layout with lots of common areas to make friends and spend your free time! I couldn't recommend this experience more! I would definitely come back :)

The hostel is a beautiful hostel, with a staff whom really cares about its up keep. Sara was really understanding and flexible when it came to any delays during my travel as well as me changing dates which I really appreciate. I was thrown off by the six hour shift, which was only communicated upon arrival. The other hostels I have worked at had felt more welcoming which was what I was expecting at the hostel but I didn't find that there. The beach is about a 30 minute walk but shops and cafes are only 15. I think the hostel is really what you make of it, I had some great moments

Matild and Sarah are such great bosses. They're incredible human beings and will work with you but you also just grow so much respect for them because you don't want to let them down. Cedrick is also extremely sweet and wish I had gotten to get to know him better. Tom is an absolute goofball with the kindest soul. The work tasks are not hard, I did housekeeping from about 9:30am-12:30pm 4 times a week and then did that plus a late afternoon shift of other things once a week. You get 2 days off a week total. This is the place to build social connections!

Ozziepozzie was my first worldpackers trip and first solo trip! I would 100% chose this experience again if I could. Sara was very understanding of my flight delay and arrival issues which I really appreciated! The staff felt like family and the people that came through the hostel were all amazing as well. I've made long lasting friendships with many people here. The jobs were easy and the facility was very spacious- always something fun going on and full of life. I will definitely be returning to Australia and stopping by to visit my ozziepozzie family when I do!

An amazing team of people. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The hostel is nice with great facilities and all the guests were lovely. The job was pretty easy to get the hang of, and there's always help if you're stuck. Made friends for life here and so happy that this was my first world packers experience. I would 100% go back
