I had the best time here. It was my first World Packers experience and it did not disappoint. The management and other volunteers were all amazing throughout my stay. Issues were handled quickly and I was welcomed in so fast. the hostel is a lovely little city and I loved meeting all of the travelers and locals. There was opportunity to explore other areas of the country with partnered hostels and flexibility if you are plan ahead. The night shift and cleaning shift were both well explained and neither was a drag. I am so so glad I came to the hostel ◡̈

I had an amazing time at the the hostel and would come back in a heartbeat! Jo, Jeanie, Ger, and the rest of management were awesome, as were all my fellow volunteers. The work was as described and there was plenty of down-time to spend exploring northern Scotland. The building itself is a such a cool place to relax and hangout. Would highly recommend to all. Thanks Jeanie and Ger!

I totally recommend volunteering at the hostel the hostel! My first volunteer experience and I really hope I can go back some day. The place is beautiful and comfy, you really feel at home, a couple blocks away from the city center and the river perfect for going out and exploring and connecting with nature. But the highlight was the people, from the moment I walked in I felt welcome into this huge family of volunteers and travelers, made friends for life. Thank you!! Experience 10/10

The hostel was my first volunteer ever! I was worried because I don't speak English, YET, but Ainhoa ​​received me with all the kindness in the world and communicated with me in Spanish, however, always introducing English so that I could learn a little bit every day. The work is simple and all volunteers help each other until it is finished. Working hours were respected and if we finished early, we were always released. I made precious friendships that I will take for life. I highly recommend Scotland and this host.

Un experiencia maravillosa Jo y Richard super amables, muy atentos a nuestras necesidades, siempre pendientes de nosotros los voluntarios. El equipo en Invernes Ainhoa, Dereck y recientemente Jeanie me hicieron sentir como en casa, estoy muy feliz por esta gran experiencia, espero volver pronto. Todo lo acordado se cumplió, el trabajo es fácil de hacer, el hospedaje es hermoso y muy acogedor esta muy cerca del centro, puedes visitar muchos lugares desde el hostel, es un punto clave si quieres conocer los Highland, me voy muy agradecida por todo el apoyo y cariño, los quiero mucho ¡¡¡

My time at the hostel felt like being at home! The hostel is a very cozy and welcoming place. The expectations regarding the work were clearly given and the hours were more than reasonable. You know your schedule well in advance which helps to plan trips around the area. And Ainhoa (manager) was flexible with accommodating schedule requests which was awesome - in addition to being a great host overall! Definitely would recommend this hostel if you want to spend time in The Highlands.

The hostel is a special place. the hostel, The Highlands and Scotland in general have so much to offer. I'm very grateful to have spent 2 months at the hostel. I worked with a team that became family. The hostel is magical. It's hard to put it all into words, it's easier for me to just say you won't regret coming here. I certainly didn't. Have fun. Explore the area. the hostel is the perfect place to discover some of Scotlands most beautiful places. It's a small friendly city but everywhere is accessible from here.

Absolutely fantastic experience. A beautiful trade off between a straightforward housekeeping work and an accommodation and breakfast in a cozy, friendly, and charming hostel. Whether you love nature, social interaction and development, good conversations, Scottish culture, traveling, hiking, walking, climbing, or basically stay at the building and feel at home, this is the perfect place for you. Highly recommended for a cultural immersion, with gentle and diverse people. To summarize, definitely a special, life-changing, and worthwhile experience. Much love for this place, always.
