Your tasks won’t be too complex, but we need someone dependable. You’ll assist with housekeeping, reception, bar and/or breakfast duties.

Join our Team as a Hostel Volunteer to assist with various housekeeping, reception and bar duties for 25 hours per week while enjoying numerous benefits—no prior experience needed; just bring a positive attitude and a willingness to help!

Attività e turni

SHIFTS
- 5 days per week, 5 hours a day
Please note, some days may be busier than others, so you might be asked to stay an hour longer, while other days you'll enjoy an extra hour or two of free time! :)

ACTIVITIES
You would be assisting...
1) the Housekeeping Team:
- changing bed linens
- sweeping floors
- cleaning windows
- other possible cleaning tasks that show up at the moment
- periodically checking hostel areas to ensure everything is tidy and swanky :)
2) the Reception Team:
- helping with check-ins and check-outs
- assisting with guests' luggage
- showing them their rooms
- keeping the reception area nice and tidy
- a receptionist's right hand :)
3) the Bar Team:
- open the bar & set up for service
- handle daily/weekly cleaning tasks
- clean tables, wash dishes (we have a dishwasher, no worries)
- assist with event setup & service
- prepare fruit & garnishes
- close the bar
- providing friendly yet professional communication with guests :)
4) the Breakfast Team:
Our breakfast is a bit special :) it is a mix of buffet and à la carte service! So, your tasks would be...
- setting up and refilling the buffet when needed
- taking guest orders for à la carte and passing them to the chefs
- serving food from the kitchen to guests
- clearing tables and resetting them for new guests
- washing dishes (again we have a dishwasher)
- putting away all breakfast items after service
- being warm, attentive and Swanky to guests
- sweeping the floor and leaving the area tidy for other colleagues :)

Regole

Even when you are not working, we expect you to remain polite, responsible, and to act as a good host for guests, as well as a considerate roommate, colleague, and friend.

Non-negotiable expectations include mutual respect, helpfulness, and maintaining cleanliness! :)

***small examples: you clean up after you use the kitchen or shower, you say hello to your colleagues when you bump into them, and you tell our guests where the nearest market is if they ask you, even if you were just passing by on your way to the pool during your free time :)
