I volunteered here in February and has such a great experience I have returned again in the fall. The team here is so welcoming and friendly, even helping out with our tasks on days when we had a lot of checkouts. Our tasks consist of setting up the breakfast area, changing beds, and cleaning the hostel. The hostel's atmosphere is also very warm and friendly, making it very easy to meet friends from around the world. The location is fantastic if you want to explore Taipei and the surrounding areas (or just to eat delicious food!). This will always be a home away from home for me.

I really enjoyed my experience in this hostel. Moi and James and all team were very friendly and whelcoming, and I had the opportunity to improve my chinese very well by talking with them. They always helped me when I was needing something. The work is very easy. We start at 10 am and usually finish around 12 am or 1pm during weekdays days. It was my first worldpacker experience and my first trip in Taiwan, and it was better that I imagined, I highly recommend this place. The location is very convenient if you want to visit Taipei and the night markets.

Thank you so much for everything. I enjoyed my stay, and I had to leave earlier because of some personal issues but they all understood me and cherished me. Hope we can meet in the future again. It felt like home. Also the family are amazing . Work is also light, and it usually ends earlier. I like the location too. 🫶

I had such a fun and enjoyable time volunteering at Mayroom Taipei! the task were easy ; breakfast and making the beds, which were really comfortable and cleaning . The owner and the team are super kind, friendly, and easy to get along with. They're also pretty flexible with the schedule, so it's easy to plan a day trip or stay a night or two longer if you want. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a welcoming and relaxed volunteering experience in Taipei!

My volunteering time with the hostel was very good. I worked mainly in the mornings and had time to explore Taipei after. Also on my free-days I could explore nearby places in Taiwan, because the country is very well-conected. Times and schedules were respected and a lot of times I managed to finish work before the 5 hours.

The hostel has a great location and it's very cozy. The staff is also really nice! Work was mainly doing breakfast and housekeeping. We used to finish early every day, so I had plenty of free time. Overall, I had a nice experience. I really recommend it!!

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel! The tasks were easy to learn and the working hours were in the morning, so I had the rest of the day off to go sightseeing. I even got three days off a week instead of two, like the description. the hostel had a very warm and welcoming environment and the staff was very kind, perfect for first-time volunteers like me. The other volunteers were also nice and fun to hang out with. I recommend this place!

I had opportunity to stay in both NTU and TMS and both were wonderful that I wish I could stay longer. Tim, James, and other staffs were all so nice, supportive and thoughtful. The workload was good, staffs and other volunteers will provide you hand-on instructions so it's easy to follow. Once you got overview of all the needed tasks, things went on well, and I really enjoyed working with the staffs and volunteers that I met. I also had plenty of time exploring the city after work, and as the hostel location is extremely convenient, it was really great experience that I'd definitely recommend.

Great location, great host, good living space, lots of amenities like breakfast, downstairs bathroom is which is really nice, and laundry service, many spaces to relax in or do work on laptop. Host is very welcoming and what's expected of you is laid out clearly from day one. As I'm writing this I still have until July 22 when I leave, originally it was 2 weeks but my host was kind enough to let me stay up until July 22 which is very kind of them. If you're new to the country like me this is a great introduction to save on accomodation costs and enjoy breakfast in abeautiful part of Taipei.
