This was my second experience with volunteering and it couldn't have been better! The work is not difficult and i had breakfast or housekeeping shift. Those with a better level of English also stay at reception shift. the agreed hours have always been respected! on my days off and after work I had time to walk around and see other places around the country. I practiced a lot of English with my staff friends who had the greatest patience to teach me and I really made friends for life! Thank you Rory and all the team for everything!

I had a really really good time at the hostel!! It's great to meet new people from all over the world, everyone was nice and easy-going, I made amazing new friends :) The work is completely doable and freetime is always respected. Drogheda is a nice town and it's not far to the beach, which is a big plus. All in all I can definitely recommend this workaway!

La relación con el equipo fue muy buena. Al vivir con ellos y con el resto de huéspedes, se genera una dinámica muy bonita entre todos. Me aportó muchos conocimientos sobre como se gestiona un hostal. Importante saber lidiar con situaciones inesperadas y a veces un tanto engorrosas con algunos huéspedes, ya que como en todo hostal, viene gente de todo tipo.

It was such a good experience! I met incredible people and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. In general, I had a very relaxing time there, the hostel schedule was always respected. The only thing to mention is that I was waiting for the team to train me for the reception role. I have experience but I was really eager to improve my skills during this experience, but unfortunately, it wasn't possible in the end. It's not a big deal, though; I brought the best memories with me. Perhaps we can make it happen another time! :)

I had a great experience at the hostel & the hostel. The hostel is super cozy & familiar. The showers were premium ;) It was always a lot of fun to do something with the other volunteers. The working hours are fair, so I could travel a bit in Ireland. Drogheda is a small town, but there is everything you need like restaurants, pubs/clubs, a shopping center, parks.. The location is great because Dublin/Belfast and a few beaches are close by. I was there for a month, but I was still allowed to work at reception, which I liked a lot because I could improve my English a bit. Thank you & see you soon!

The hostel & the hostel was such a lovely little home away from home - I stayed for six weeks and had a great time volunteering as a receptionist. The hours and tasks are fair, and Rory and Declan are really flexible and happy to work with you, and are super nice people. We had a really great team of volunteers and I've made some wonderful friends who I'll stay in touch with! Drogheda is accessible and it's easy to reach Dublin and Belfast on days off, so there's plenty to do in your free time. Rory is really kind and cares a lot about his staff. Would recommend!

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel. I also formed some very close friendships with my coworkers that I know will last. The owner and manager are very welcoming, helpful, and fair. It was a collaborative space where everyone can pitch in their ideas and there is mutual respect. Everything on their profile here is true to their word. I highly recommend them for anyone!

Volunteering at the hostel was an incredible experience! The owner Rory and manager Declan are an absolute pleasure to work with. They are always true to their word, treat all volunteers with respect, and keep the workplace lighthearted and fun. The long-term staff are always willing to help and make you feel like family. The work is fulfilling without being too challenging, and your shifts are short enough to still enjoy the city such as the local pubs/clubs, beach, and historic churches.

O hostel é muito legal, uma casa grande que constitui uma família mesmo, daquela que se reúne para comer na mesa da cozinha e por os papos em dia! o staff foi a melhor parte de toda experiência, fiz amigos pra vida ali! a Irlanda é realmente uma ilha chuvosa o que dificulta passeios e trips a mercê do tempo! o voluntariado é praticamente limpeza para quem não fala inglês e recepção para quem fala inglês. mas se você se dedicar sempre poderá praticar inglês com quem está na casa ;)

Mi experiencia en the hostel ha sido genial desde el primer día! Esta ha sido mi primera experiencia de voluntariado y me alegra mucho que haya sido aquí. Desde el primer momento me sentí super acogida y como parte de una familia, ha sido un regalo coincidir con gente tan maravillosa. El hostal es un lugar muy agradable y la ciudad de Drogheda está muy bien, tiene bastante vida y está muy bien comunicada con Dublín. El trabajo es sencillo, en mi caso tareas de limpieza principalmente que puedes realizar aún sin experiencia previa. Gracias por todo!✨💚
