Hello and welcome! My three dogs and I are passionate about sharing the beauty and charm of our island with visitors. We love showing people around and can introduce you to the best local restaurants and tavernas, ensuring you experience the authentic flavors of the island. I am always excited to exchange travel experiences and stories. I've had many adventures in places like India and Nepal, and I would be delighted to hear about your journeys and experiences too! Together, we can create wonderful memories and share our love for travel and discovery.

Samos was beautiful, an island full of natural beauty. I recommend visiting in summer because at this time of year almost the entire village of Kokkari is closed, but it is still an ideal place for trekking and connecting with nature.It is clear that Michael is a kind person, but during our stay he had surgery and, when he returned, he faced health problems that could have put his safety and ours at risk.We were lucky his friend Maria was there to help him and us. hope he recovers soon and can receive new volunteers. He also needs help with the dogs and meels.The days off aren’t entirely free

The place is beautiful and peaceful, with a very comfortable and private room. The tasks are easy but spread out at different times of the day.
Samos is lovely, but in low season there’s almost nothing to do in the village, and the distances between towns are very long, which made it hard to explore new places
In my case, the experience wasn’t very positive because something unusual happened, Michael got sick, and that affected the atmosphere and the development of the volunteer work

Michael is a good person. He picked us up when we arrived and was also flexible with schedules and tasks when we needed him. If you're volunteering alone, you might need to cook and make breakfast every day with no days off. Regarding Kokkari, it's a beautiful village with lots of greenery, mountains, and beaches, but there aren't many supermarkets, and you need to go to town, which is a bit challenging since there are almost no buses (maybe 4 a day). I highly recommend going in the summer. I'm very grateful for the whole experience volunteering with Michael and meeting Maria.

This was my first volunteer experience, and now that it’s over, I can honestly say I really loved it.
In the beginning, there were some challenges, Michael is going through a difficult personal period, and as someone who isn’t very comfortable expressing emotions, it took me a bit of time to adapt.
I’d definitely recommend talking both to Michael and to previous volunteers before coming.
Michael is a truly wonderful person with a kind soul, his dogs are unbelievably sweet, and Kokkari is a beautiful, peaceful place, perfect if you need some time away from noise and the city.

Staying with Michalis for two and a half weeks was truly unforgettable. He’s one of the kindest, most loving people we’ve ever met, and he made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The work was simple and fair, and he gave us so much time to explore the beautiful island. We’re so grateful for the friendships, memories, and love we found at Villa Michalis.
