Hostel Ka'beh Cancun
Our volunteer position offers the best of both worlds: you get to enjoy the Hostel and our little corner of paradise as part of the team, but only work part time, and stay on-site just like our paying travelers.
We believe travel is fundamental to living a more fulfilled life, enriched by the perspective and invaluable experience that can only come from being surrounded by languages, people, nature, and cultures unlike your own__ It’s because of this, as a business, we’re committed to maintaining a team as culturally and linguistically diverse and balanced as possible. We believe in helping weary travelers coming through our doors have the experience of a lifetime, no matter what side of the reception desk they sit on, and doing everything we can to maintain the unique environment that our special hostel been known for since day one: an incredibly social environment.

This was my first Worldpackers. Overall it was amazing I met so many people and made so many friendships.
However the work is not the best, I worked reception, your hours and schedules will be all over the place, making it hard to explore and travel while not being exhausted. the work itself was not terrible however there is a lack of communication of what needs to be done “the right way” The housing is not ideal. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. Bathrooms are dirty, and laundry is not the best setup as well.
Overall amazing atmosphere, Communication and housing can be improved.

J’ai beaucoup apprécié ma première expérience au sein de l’hostel. L’accueil a été très chaleureux, les horaires sont respectés et les tâches demandés également. L’accès gratuits et libre a certaines nourriture est un vrai plus. Les gérants et les managers sont très à l’écoute et attentifs à nos demandes et réactifs si on a des problèmes particulier. En revanche qui concerne l’hébergement les lits ne sont pas du tout confortable et les conditions de propreté (moisissure, saleté, état de la salle de bain) sont très limités. Dans l’ensemble j’ai passé une très bonne expérience. Encore merci !

The experience itself was ok, but only because of the other volunteers. The job was never a pleasure to do, the bosses lack of communication was terrible, they was “communicating” but just to tell you “WORK!” with no clear instructions and in a really rude way.
The dorms are terrible, there are 2, respectively with 6 and 12 beds, which are really uncomfortable (with a hole in the middle of the mattress) and it was not just mine, all of theme where like this. The bathrooms where always in bad conditions, hot water was a dream and there are no places where you can study or do your business.

Fue una gran experiencia para mi, con mucho significado para mi crecimiento personal, las personas, las amistades, las vivencias, el día a día, las risas, los llantos, todo lo que vivi con ellos lo llevare en mi corazón y no tengo más que agradecer la oportunidad de compartir cada momento con las personas que estuvieron ahi para mi, sin duda de las mejores experiencias de mi vida, me llevo muchas amistades y recuerdos hermosos, gracias Ka’beh.
