Imagine waking up right in front of the ocean, with one of Peru’s most legendary surf spots at your doorstep — Cerro Azul, even mentioned in the Beach Boys’ song Surfin’ Safari 🌊🎶.

We’re a family looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us finish building our sustainable beach house, take care of our garden, and keep the space cozy and organized.

Détails du programme

In exchange, you’ll enjoy daily surf sessions, explore ancient ruins, taste fresh fish straight from the port, and travel to amazing nearby destinations like Huacachina Oasis 🏜️, Lunahuaná 🍇, or Huancaya waterfalls 🌄.

Activités et horaires

Three years ago, my father started building this house little by little, using recycled materials and sustainable solutions like solar energy and a water well. Today, we’re excited to share this project with travelers who want to help and become part of our story.

As a volunteer, you’ll:

🛠️ Support with construction and finishing tasks
🌱 Help in the garden and outdoor spaces
🧹 Collaborate with cleaning and organization
💬 Optionally, practice English with us

What you’ll get in return:

Activities & Shifts

Approx. 25 hours per week (about 5 hours/day, 5 days a week)
2 days off to relax or travel around

🌊 Daily life here is flexible — we try to make sure you have plenty of time to surf, rest, or explore.


Things to do in Cerro Azul & nearby:

🏺 Visit archaeological ruins of the Huarco culture
🎣 Walk the historic pier and explore the fishing port
🍤 Taste the best Peruvian seafood and local dishes
🏜️ Adventures to Lunahuaná (rafting), Ica & Huacachina (sandboarding), and Huancaya (lakes & waterfalls)
