I have so many wonderful memories in this mountain area of Slovakia! The environment here is incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Working here feels just like taking care of my own home, and I love every corner of it! Being so close to the mountains means I can hike and enjoy the scenery whenever I want. The volunteers who come here are all very warm and kind as well. I will definitely come back again.

First of all I want to say I was there at the wrong time. It was offseason, lots of hikes were closed and ski season wasn't open yet. Because of that there were not many volunteers and also not guests, like 1 every 2 nights. But besides all that I still had a lovely time. Lisa is really nice and welcoming, very warm person. I even went with her to Krakau. Also I went to Košice and saw Bratislava, I slept there for free in another hostel of the owners. I would advice u to go in summer if ur interested! The nature at this place is really really special, never saw this before.

Working at the hostel in the hostel Tatras was honestly a dream. The workload was light, and being surrounded by nature felt incredibly healing. I'm also very grateful to our manager, Lisa, who introduced me to local activities and hiking trails, it made the experience feel even more magical.

I first stayed two weeks at their hostel in Bratislava, calm, organized, and full of good vibes. Then I spent another two weeks at the hostel, and it was just amazing! I fell in love with the hostel Tatras and had so many first experiences: seeing snow, hiking above 2000m, and climbing real mountains in Europe. Lisa is an outstanding manager and person, super kind, organized, and with great potential to grow even more. She makes the whole experience smooth and meaningful. I truly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, nature, and genuine connections! Thank you!! :)

I had such a wonderful time here. The hostel is beautiful, clean, and has a really cozy atmosphere. The beds were super comfortable too. More importantly, I was warmly welcomed from the moment I arrived and quickly felt at home. The surrounding nature is stunning and very easy to reach since the train station is only a five-minute walk away. The work itself is very manageable, and it is easy to request time off if you want to join others for a longer hike or explore the area. I highly recommend this place, especially if like nature and are looking for a peaceful and friendly stay!

I had an incredible time volunteering at the hostel! The town is small but well-connected. The train station is just 3 minutes away, connecting you to amazing hikes and nearby towns. The work is light—only a few hours of cleaning per day—leaving plenty of time to explore. In my 3 weeks in Strba I hiked, visited hot springs, saw a hockey game, took a day trip to Bratislava with new friends, and met amazing people. Lisa, the manager, is super welcoming and definitely contributes to the comfortable and friendly vibes of the hostel. I 100% recommend the hostel for a social, relaxed stay!

My stay at the hostel was nothing short of a once in a lifetime opportunity. Located a 15 minute train ride from some of the most beautiful and underrated hikes on the planet, Štrba is a legendary pull of a hidden gem. Bears, wolves, hot springs, castles, amazing local cuisine, and more can be found nearby . The hostel is clean and pristine with a bar, and an unexpectedly great sound system. What really makes this place so special, however, is the volunteers and guests (massive shoutout to the awesome manager Lisa! In the 3 weeks I was here I made friends I will have for life. 10/10, 5⭐️

I had an amazing few weeks at Hiker's. Lisa is an incredible manager who makes everyone feel right at home. She goes out of her way to ensure that volunteers get to make the most of their time off and knows all the best hikes in the area. I had a great group of volunteers who made the work, which was already very manageable, fun. the hostel Tatras are such a beautiful area and the work was always finished early, meaning there was plenty of time to go into the mountains, explore surrounding towns, or eat at one of the local restaurants. I hope to be back in Štrba in the future!
