My time at Peace House the guest house was truly meaningful and unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming, authentic, and full of life. The house attracts travelers and volunteers from different parts of the world, so every day felt like a cultural exchange — full of stories, shared meals, and laughter.

Me and my sister stayed here for a month and it was a good experience. The work is pretty simple and usually takes about 2–3 hours to finish. After that you mostly just wait at the reception, so it's not stressful at all. Steve was really helpful with scheduling. We wanted to travel around Japan and explore different places, and he was very flexible and understanding about that. We appreciated a lot. The accommodation was okay but not amazing. The room we stayed in was quite small but manageable.

La ubicación del hostel es estratégica porque queda cerca de diferentes estaciones de metro. Aunque no es la zona más linda de la ciudad, sigue siendo Japón por lo que igualmente es seguro. Steve, por su parte, la verdad que fue super flexible en cuanto a los días de voluntariado, lo cual me ayudó muchísimo a poder cumplir con lo acordado y que esto sea compatible con mis planes de viaje. Él incluso se ofreció a enseñarme un poco de japonés y holandés, eso me pareció super amable y generoso de su parte.

I had an amazing time at Peace House the guest house, and made some really awesome friends. The place had a family vibe and it felt like a home in Osaka. The work was easy and at times actually pretty fun. The reception work was also easy to learn. The managers were kind and super accommodating, especially with all my rostering requests. I couldn't have done everything I did with out their help. Steve was such as amazing host! I had a fantastic time and wish I could have stayed a lot longer. I hope I can volunteer at PH the guest house again, and will definitely visit next time I'm in Osaka

I had such a great time at Peace House! Steve, the manager, is super fun, kind, and always ready to help. He explains everything clearly, answers all your questions, and really makes you feel at home. Kenji and the rest of the staff are also amazing — always friendly and easy to talk to. The work is simple (maybe a bit long sometimes), but totally fair, and if you have plans, they'll do their best to adjust the schedule. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance!

During my volunteer experience at Peace House, I had the opportunity to meet people from many different countries, which allowed me to learn about various cultures and ways of life. I also spent time with locals, who were very kind and helped me get to know the city better. The activities at the hostel were calm and the atmosphere was very pleasant, giving us time to explore Osaka, discover new places, and enjoy local life. It was an enriching experience that taught me a lot and left me with great memories.

I've volunteered at the guest house many times and everytime it's been a blast. You get to meet locals, travelers.. I made long lasting friends during my volunteering. The work itself is really light and easy, and Steve is an amazing manager that will accompany you if you're facing any trouble! I highly recommend this as your first experience ! It's truly the only place in the world where I feel at home away from home.. I can't wait to go back more and more haha. See you next time Steve !

The work loading wasn't heavy, the schedule is 12am to 20pm but the chores would normally finish before 15 while the rest of the time waiting and do the reception. The host and staff are absolutely nice. Kenji even made a ginger soup when I was sick. And the guests are from all around the world. People would chat and gather in the living room, feels just like home for me.

Peace House the guest house offers a truly home-like atmosphere. The housekeeping tasks are straightforward, and the host, Steve, provides clear instructions and is always available to assist. Its cozy ambiance and excellent location make it easier to exploring the area. The workload is light, typically taking only 4-5 hours, which gives time to socialize with guests and staff, creating a genuine sense of community. I would absolutely love to stay there again!
