📍 About Us:
Hi, I'm Miri! My family and I run two hostels located in the historic neighborhood of Gorica, Berat.
My father helps with maintenance and repairs.
My mother takes care of cleaning, laundry, and preparing rooms for guests.
My brother and sister-in-law manage reception and daily operations.
Running these hostels is a family and community effort — from local farmers and bakers providing fresh produce and bread for our traditional Albanian breakfasts, to the guides who help guests explore this beautiful region. You’ll feel like part of the family while volunteering with us!
📅 What We Offer:
Free accommodation in your own property a short walk away from Backpackers hostel
Free breakfast every day.
Discounted tours, including our famous Berat Canyon and Waterfall Tour!
Work only 5 hours per day, 5 days per week — plenty of time to explore Berat and beyond!
2 days off per week for your own adventures.
🗓️ Minimum stay: 3 weeks (but longer stays are very welcome — we'd love to build a strong, friendly team and make lasting friendships!).

Activités et horaires

✨ Volunteer Tasks:
Reception: Check guests in and out, provide local tips, and create a warm, social atmosphere.
Housekeeping: Keep common areas and outdoor spaces tidy, help with beds and laundry.
Breakfast Prep: Light food preparation (eggs, fruit, coffee).

We'd also love to hear from creative people - we are always looking for ways to improve both the look and feel of our hostels! If you are skilled in painting, photography, videography/video editing, can play music instruments or sing let us know in your application! You'd make a perfect member to our team

Règles

We aspire to be a relaxed work environment - all we ask is that all tasks and duties involved within your shift are completed to the best of your ability, the common areas are kept clean and tidy and then you are free to spend the remaining time of your shift socializing with guests at the hostel having fun :)
