It was a really nice experience, I truly appreciated my stay during the month. The manager was very kind and gave us the freedom to organize activities and socialize with everyone. The volunteers were also helpful and charismatic. Unfortunately, I had one small bad experience with some other volunteers in the shared dorm, but nothing that made me regret the experience. I highly recommend it!

My experience here was good. From day 1 we explore Berat and meet locals, Micah, Our host/Manager help us with the tasks and schedules. We worked on the 3 hostels and meet a lot of International travelers and volunteers. The inly bad thing I had was 2 Volunteers were joking too much and they fix it 🤲🏻🙌🏻

I had a great time in Berat. The volunteering hours were split between all 3 hostels and I stayed at the hostel & the hostel during my time there. The hours are as listed and the tasks are easy to learn. I'd recommend learning some basic Albanian phrases but it's not required.

We just can't recommend it enough , we spent wonderful days in Berat , the village it's magical . The team it was super welcoming , the facilities for volunteers are very comfortable, work was properly divided, working hours and breaks are also respected. We have much to thank the whole team . It was my first experience with a volunteer, my first and most exciting adventure in life! My sister volunteered with me and was in her eighth experience. We had wonderful days at the hostel, the hostel and the hostel! The team is welcoming, the energy of the people, the affection conquered us completely! In addition the facilities for volunteers are very comfortable, work is properly divided and hours and breaks are also respected. We have much to thank the whole team! We hope that one day we can return to volunteer with all of them!

It is hard to put in words how this experience affected me. Truly, i could not imagine a better place to volunteer. Berat is just a jewellery box in the middle of Albania, the hostel and the two sister hostels embody everything I looked forward to. The community is fantastic, I really felt just right from the moment I have arrived. Peace, deep connections, “work-life balance”, opportunities and a lot more. Falimenderit Miri and Berat! I could not say goodbye just a see you later.

It was an excellent experience! Edmir is very welcoming. There are different events every night at the hostel, which makes it a great place to connect with other guests and volunteers. I met amazing people there. The activities were very easygoing, and the shifts were exactly as agreed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Julia was an absolute ray of sunshine during her time with us! Her sweet personality and constant positive energy brought so much joy to the hostel. She connected with the guests, created a welcoming atmosphere, and was always ready to help with a big smile. Julia took initiative, worked hard, and added a truly special vibe to the team. We're so grateful for her time here and she’ll always have a home with us in Berat. Highly recommended to anyone lucky enough to host her next!

I had a lovely time at the three hostels in Berat! The work was not difficult, the hours were respected and there was opportunity to meet people from all over. The volunteers were a great bunch. I was there during the off season so it was often rainy but the hostel's was a cozy place to hangout on those days. Unfortunately, the volunteer accommodations are rather chilly in November, so good to consider this when choosing your dates. The town and castle were beautiful and the Christmas market was so fun! I was able to meet some locals and immerse in the culture. I would definitely recommend!

I had a lovely time at the hostel working with Miri and his managers Micah and Hanneke. The work was easy, the team was fun, and we received great discounts on the rafting and wine tours. I was able to immerse myself in cozy Berat, enjoying the local christmas market and all of the beautiful surrounding sites. There are some notes I have that new volunteers may want to know if coming during the off season: 1. The staff accommodations are cold and lack comfortable living space+ poor kitchens 2. Social atmosphere varies greatly, mostly quiet rainy days 3. Training was a bit unclear
