L'Expérience

We are very busy and would love some help with general maintenance around our property - a 6 acre B&B/disability respite location. You could be trimming trees, cleaning windows, getting the boat ready for a trip or helping move the gym gear, or if you have a specific skillset, we'll happily put your skills to good use. Bonus points if you're a couple or friends who are happy to help with house keeping/room changeovers. Flexible days and times.

Super chill. I helped them by providing social media content to support their accessible accommodation/ activities business. Best part was I got to interact with one of their clients on a beach trip, mountain biking trail, watching a hockey game, and cooking our own pizza. Opened my eyes to all a person who is wheelchair bound can do with a little help. I stayed in a private studio with full bath and kitchen. Great experience.

Great experience! We volunteered for Darren & Alisha for over 2 months as just loved the time here. Got to da range of different work that kept it fresh and new. They where really generous to both myself and my partner and it was really nice to spend time volunteering here. Would definitely recommend. :)))

ABSOLUTELY fabulous time volunteering here! Darren & Alisha are extremely kind and generous people and a delight to volunteer for. Originally me and my partner where meant to stay 3 weeks but ended up staying 2 and a half months. The space to live was so private, lovely and cosy. The work is really adaptable to your skills. We had some fabulous evenings doing BBQ's, pizza and games with both Darren & Alisha as well as there disability clients and guests. All round it was a splendid time! and the local area around the guest house is full of beautiful spots to visit. I would highly recommend.

Alisha and Darren were always very friendly and attentive, which made us feel at home working with them. Our accommodation was a private and comfortable studio, which ensured that we had a great time relaxing and resting after our working hours. It was great to learn how a bed and breakfast runs from behind the scenes. We felt appreciated for our efforts and it was good to be able to contribute for the smooth running of their business. Thank you for the good experience, Alisha and Darren!

We stayed with Alisha & Darren for almost 3 weeks and we had a good place for us, with privacy and everything needed during this period. As we had no car, they took us to the market to buy food and also provided itens for cleaning. The property is beautiful and quiet, perfect to relax and do other activities during non-working hours. Daily tasks were basicaly cleaning & seting the rooms between guests, but also some random tasks that poped-up depending on the needs of the moment. I recommend staying with them if you want to relax a bit and stay away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
