We're looking for someone with experience in travel content creation who can deliver authentic, high-quality videos showcasing life at the hostel & around.
You will have to come up with your own creative content ideas & occasionally follow specific guidelines provided by our social media manager.

Détails du programme

Sleeping arrangements:
You will be in a shared dorm with other volunteers and travelers. If you move around, go away for a few days and on the day you depart, you must make your own bed.

Meals:
We provide breakfast and one toasted sandwich every day. You will have half pizza every Thursday and Sunday. Instant coffee & tea available as much as you want.

Laundry:
There is a Laundromat in the village where you can drop your washing and get it back next day washed and dry. This will be at your own expense. Or you can handwash here.
Unfortunately, we only have one washing machine and dryer that is used for our linen, towels etc. that needs to be washed daily all day.

How to get here:
You can take a flight into George which is 25km from us and we will pick you up.
There are also bus options:
• Bazbus – a bus specifically for backpackers, more expensive, but more convenient and will drop you off right at our doorstep. You can use this “hop-on-hop-off – ticket” also if you want to travel the Garden Route on your off days. It is valid for one year.
• Intercape / Big Sky – stops Wilderness (Caltex Garage) where we will pick you up (+- 4km from us). It has another stop about 8km from us at the Sasol Garage.

Weather:
• Summer (November – March) 14 -32 degrees.
• Winter (April – October) 8 – 25 degrees.
It tends to rain sporadically throughout the year, so it’s good to bring a raincoat. Also, it can get chilly at night, so at least bring a light jacket, even for summer.

General notes:
You get 30% discount on your drinks and food. When on duty, you may not drink.

Help us and our social media manager create engaging content (mostly videos) for the Beach House Instagram account!

We are looking for someone with experience in travel content creation who can deliver authentic, high-quality videos showcasing life at Beach House and the surroundings. This includes activities such as surfing, hiking, kloofing, kayaking, events, music, social life, and more (we’d love to hear your suggestions).

You will have to manage your own time, come up with your own creative content ideas, and occasionally follow specific guidelines provided by our social media manager.

Working Hours:
You will work 30 hours per week, focused on:
• Filming video content,
• Editing the content,
• Sending completed material weekly via Google Drive to our social manager.

Equipment Use:
You will use your own camera, editing software, and any necessary equipment for the creation of content.

Creative Direction:
You are encouraged to take advantage of:
• Good weather opportunities,
• Free experiences from our local tour operators,
• Beach and surf settings for dynamic reels.

No marijuana/ weed smoking and alcohol on the premises or during your work hours. You will be asked to leave if you do not adhere to this.
