I had a such a lovely time! The students are so sweet and curious. The classes are more conversation based than grammar focused, which makes it lots of fun. The managers at the school always want to make sure the volunteers are content along with the students. The living arrangements are very comfortable and spacious with really nice views. Honestly I would love to come back!

Genuinely my experience here has such a special place in my heart. the school has a unique atmosphere where it really feels like the classes are just a group of friends that are getting together to chat. The team and the students are just lovely. It is a very social place with chances to build connections which I found really beautiful, definitely recommend!

I had an amazing experience volunteering at the school. Although this was my first experience as an English teacher, the experience went smoothly. They were very organized, provided all the class materials and the schedules and timetables were always respected. I am so happy and grateful about all the amazing people I met there, the students in both branches are great and made me feel very welcome. The highlight of the place is the possibility of meeting locals and immersing in their culture. I definitely recommend this volunteer job and I can't wait to be back <3

This was an extremely enriching experience! The environment, and especially the students, at both branches are very welcoming. I got a chance to really immerse, learn and try so much in the turkish culture. I was just a bit disappointed about the cleaningness of our house, since there was no clear division of tasks and the chores weren't done often enough by everyone. I would also have appreciated if we could have had a place to get together and socialise with all the volunteers outside of our working hours. But apart from that, everything worked as discussed beforehand and I had lots of fun!

Such a wonderful place to volunteer, meet locals and immerse yourself in local culture. If you're creative, outgoing, energetic and passionate about teaching, give it a try! You'll definitely learn a lot about yourself and gain really valuable experience. One of my favorite volunteerings so far! Istanbul became home away from home thanks to this place. Big thanks to SII club for creating such a welcoming and engaging space! It's a great way to connect with new people, share cultures, and explore the beauty of Istanbul together. As a volunteer, I've had the chance to meet incredible individuals, both locals and internationals, and every session feels like a cultural exchange. What makes it even more special is how naturally the club becomes a gateway to discovering Türkiye. 💗 The accomodation is perfect and central and it quickly became my home away from home. The working ours are good and allow you to have freedom throughout the day

Speaking the school is a great place if you are looking for cultural exchange. People is warm and always eager to learn from you and your culture. English exchange is the perfect opportunity to develop your teaching and language skills. I would definitely come back to the city and the school.

Volunteering here has been an amazing month of my life. The accommodation is great, and the work itself has been the best. Hours are from 6pm-10pm, so you have plenty of time in the day to explore Istanbul. Teaching English (rather informally) is a breeze and is super fun, even if you don't have a lot of prior experience in the education field. The learners at the school are truly some of the most wonderful people. Overall, it is a great way to meet locals and other travelers, see the amazing city, and get in touch with the culture.

Really great placement, it's better if you spend more than 1month here. I'd say 1,5-2months would be perfect. The students will bring you in like best friends, invite you to everything and get you to try new things every day. Awesome way to know their culture, city and lifestyle. The placement has a great apartment, and the work hours are fine. If you have to go to the second branch you need to be prepare to do 1+ hour of commute.

I just love this place and definitely recommend it. You'll surely make special connections here - both at the volunteers' house and at the school. At the house, you'll meet people from different countries and at the school, you'll learn a lot about Turkish culture and people.
