This experience is great for gaining experience in restaurant work, and to interact with people from all over the world! We provide a variety of traditional foods which you can learn to prepare. Volunteering at our Soda provides a unique opportunity to be immersed into the local community by living with a local family!

Détails du programme

In Costa Rica, small local restaurants or eateries are called 'Sodas'. The Soda Curubanda works in collaboration with our tour centre Finca Curubanda, to give people from all over the world an authentic and adventurous experience of our country.
The soda serves a variety of typical Costa Rican dishes - often including fajitas de pollo, filet the pescado etc. in traditional 'casado style'.
Join us if you are passionate about cooking or restaurant work, or just want to learn more about our cuisine. Whatever your passions include; we are happy to talk and adapt your work as a volunteer to your interests.

Please note that for this position you will be living with a local family, which is a great immersion into the Costa Rican culture - but may require you to speak intermediate Spanish!

Activités et horaires

You will be working 5 days a week, with a lunch break each day. Jobs include: serving, cashier, kitchen hand, cleaning, waiter/waitress. The schedule is flexible so let us know which times you would prefer to work and we can try and we fit you in the schedule accordingly!
