The work can be hard on some days and easier on others. But working hours are well respected. The hostel is a very good place to socialize, as there are many young people and the hostel is a lively place.

La verdad que fue muy corto el tiempo que pude pasar con ustedes, me recibieron súper bien pero no hubo ni despedida porque al estar en un hostal con tantas personas maravillosas, lamentablemente existe la posibilidad de que alguien venga como positivo en covid y no culpo a nadie sinceramente, tristemente surgió así y di positivo por qué la situación actual esta fluyendo de esta forma y son cosas que pasan, por lo tanto el hostal debería estar preparado para estas cosas y lastimosamente me quedé en la calle, así que todo fue muy bonito pero este detalle me partió mucho el corazón.

Colombus es el mejor lugar para conectar con gente, sumergirte en la cultura de la Isla, aprender sobre el manejo de hostelería y crear vínculos ;) El trabajo a veces puede resultar un poco complicado pero el equipo siempre está para darte una mano. El hecho de convivir con personas de todo el mundo mientras trabajas genera un gran impacto en tu ser.

You don't join a hostel, you join a FAMILY! I went there not knowing what to expect, and I have found an amazing group of volunteers and managers that really make you feel at home or better than home! I learned a lot, especially working behind the bar, and I definitely had a lot of fun. The managers are caring and they make sure they can help you whenever possible to make your life a bit easier. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!

If you're reading this, it's a sign, GO TO GRAN CANARIA AND SPECIALLY, GO TO the hostel!!! It's been my first experience as a volunteer and I only have incredible things to say about it :)

I spent five unforgettable weeks at the hostel. Ever since I arrived, I felt at home, everyone working there is very nice and very open minded - it doesn't take much effort to get along with people. The work routine is fair and management is always open to adapting it to your demands. Las Palmas is a very pleasant city to live in and the rest of the island is very cool to explore too. I can only thank everyone for this great experience and say that this place and this family will always have a special place in my heart! <3

I extended my stay with the hostel after a month. The staff are friendly and warm, making it naturally feel like you're a part of the family team right away. The hostel itself is what I expected and they have so many improvements they are making, it'd be great to come back and visit in a year or so to see how it's developed. My job working for CRH was well explained to me and the hours always clear which I appreciated. The island is beautiful and there is so much to explore. If I could extend for 6 months, I would!

I've been volunteering in the hostel for 1 month and I can strongly recommend this experience! The hostel is a cozy place where you'll find beautiful people that will treat you as family from the first day. Spending time there gave me the chance to improve both my English and Spanish and to visit a beautiful Island in my free time (especially because they let you spend some nights in other hostels around the Island for free!). Furthermore the hostel' the hostel is fucking cool. However, keep in mind that you won't sleep in a “comfortable” room and the job requires more energy than you could expect.

It was my first experience with worldpackers and I absolutely recommend this hostel! Everybody is very friendly and they are like a family. I felt part of the group since the first day. The work is as they explain 4-5 hour for day, never more. The managers are always ready to help you in the work and in your free time. You can see other amazing places staying for free in other part of the island. Absolutely recommended!! 🧡
