We’re looking for people to assist with farm tours. This involves welcoming guests to the farm, touring & explaining how the dairy tasks, our community programs, working with the farm team to set up & participate in, interactive workshops such as bathing & feeding the buffalo, milking demonstrations & calf feeding. Looking for people with 2 languages, and ability to stay for a min of 4 weeks. Some exp in hospitality a +.

I never thought I'd have the opportunity to volunteer at THE ONLY the host in the host, but I'm really glad I did. My ice cream scooping muscles have come a long way, as have my tour guide skills. It was a great experience working with the local staff, tasting all the host products (ice cream, RICOTTA CAKE, cheese, and more!), chillin with animals, and bonding with fellow volunteers, the founders & Mary. Things to note! (1) the volunteer house is not at the host, it's 5km from the town center (2) WiFi is not reliable - grab a Unitel simcard (3) use inDrive or Loca to get around

I had an amazing experience volunteering at the host Farm. The work schedule was well-structured, with four days of volunteering per week. The main task was giving guided tours of the farm to tourists which allowed me to learn so much about the host and the impact of this project on the local community. The founders, Rachel, Susie and Steven are truly passionate and deeply involved in the project. They were very supportive and we shared delicious dinner prepared by Mary. The volunteer house was comfortable and the atmosphere was welcoming. I highly recommend! 😊

It was a really nice experience, all the staff at the farm are the kindest people and good to be around! The work is easy, but the days feel long, you need to go to the farm at 10am and you are not home until 7pm. The dinners are great, Mary is a really good cook ! But lunch it's not amazing especially on Sundays when you have to eat leftovers from Friday's dinner. Sometimes the communication with the hosts was rude. But it was a good experience overall.

My experience at the host was amazing - all the staff at the host farm are the kindest people and such good fun to be around! I was also very lucky with the other volunteers who were there at the same time as me! The work is easy - in the ice cream hut/cafe and giving tours, but the days feel long as you are not home till 7/7:30pm. The dinners are great, Mary really looks after the volunteers in this aspect! The house is probably the worst part of this experience - there is no wifi, no flooring, only clean water because one of the other volunteers fitted water filters.

Thank you, Annie. We are glad you the farm.
Just to clarify: The house is on the town water system, whilst you were here the city was doing pipe repair which could made it look a little dirty. This work has now finished and we always provide a 20L water bottle drinking station.
The house has a concrete flooring, while no tiling typical for Laos, there are bamboo mats which volunteer take into the garden for yoga or sitting. Road construction is now finished so now quicker driving home.

Impressive achievement by Susie, Steven and Rachel, the farm is beautiful, also lovely animals and really cool Lao staff :) Though the profiles could use some corrections and clarifications: Volunteers are expected to work 4 days a week from 10AM to 6PM-7PM, with 1 hour lunch break, totaling at least 28-29 hrs, more than advertised 25 hrs. This schedule includes a 30 min drive from the volunteer's house to the farm. Sometimes the communication with one of the hosts was rude and bossy. The volunteer house is 10 min by scooter to Luang Prabang (you have to rent it). Few amenities nearby
