This is a camp dedicated to the conservation of sea turtles and nature in general of our town in Pacuare, which is a place surrounded by a lot of exuberant nature, which we have protected for 15 years
Volunteers here will have the opportunity to help on the nesting of leatherback turtles, (the largest in the ocean) In addition to getting to know one of the most biodiverse places in our Caribbean Costa Rica

Leatherback turtle season: from the last week of February to the end of June

Activités et horaires

Working with the turtles means that you will be doing night patrols on the beach. With local guides and a group of people you will patrol on the beach to collect turtle eggs and relocate them to a turtle hatchery where they will be safe from poachers. Furthermore, you will be working at the hatchery, take care of the turtle eggs and the freshly hatched turtles and make sure that they are well prepared for their dangerous journey back into the sea

Règles

1. Respect schedule work
2. Do not drink alcoholic beverages or drugs in the camp and the nursery or during work hours, you will have days off so you can go anywhere you want
3. Respect the rest times in the camp
4. Respect the staff and the other volunteers
5. Sexual harassment is totally prohibited
6. The person who comes to the camp under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be prevented from entering
